I want to refresh only a control

Hi every body,
Can I customize the paper size and print a crystal report directly by coding. And my client have some printed papers, he needs to print the data at required places only. Like "Name : Code Project" here Name : is laready printed and it has to print CodeProject at specified place exactly.
How can we do it please advice me.Thank you.

Sir,
I want to refresh only a control such as adrotator control. This control should change its image but the whole page must remain same. Can anybody tell me please. Thank you.

The solution may not be the best but it would work....

You have to try out using frames concept....

Lets say there is a homepage.aspx
Place your adrotator control in sepearte aspx page i.e.rotator.aspx

Now add a new aspx page like final.aspx and include the two pages as frames.
For that goto the html view of the page and add frameset and align the frame accordingly..

For guidance looking into frameset in www.w3schools.com -> learn html!!!

Now the problem is that, whenever user sorts data in the grid using Hyperlink Header, the data gets sorted properly, but when a RowCommand is fired, then the e.commandArgument shows 0th row being picked, but the value picked from one of the cells is from some other row instead of Row 0.
How to track or solve this ?

Hi anybody pls help me its very urgent

I am facing a problem while doing commit & roll back in one of my pages. My problem is i have
to upload data from one database(accounts) to another say Gaccounts programmatically.
In my web.config i wrote 2 connections by name con(for database accounts), con1(for
Database-Gaccounts).
Then in my program i am using commit & roll back.

I have to check the code from ledger table (say 0003) with code in accounts table if it exist then i have to check whether that code exits in accounts table of gaccounts database. If it is not there I have to add more value in the code like (0003tvm) and then create a row in accounts table of gaccounts database with this new code. This much am not feeling any problem.

Now I have to update this new code back in accounts table of accounts database. .here the problem comes if roll back happens then also updating of this code take place
Creating complete error .I am giving database details in a class file. In this project I used 2 class files say objdb-representing accounts and objmdb-for gaccounts.

Hi,

I have configured my project in the server.
I am using menus in my project.
I get a java script error as "menu is undefined" in the server.
But locally the same setup is running fine.It doesnt give any error message.

So i found that there is an error in the path where menu is defined.
I hardcoded the path as .It runs fine.But this should be set globally.

If i give globally as <script language="JavaScript" src="../scripts/menu.js">
it doesnt work.

Is there any ways how to specify the path to run the application in the server.If anyone knows reply me as soon as possibe.

Hi,
I am using

tag in one of my pages to display text entered into a text box. The problem is I don't want horizontal scroll bar. How do I achieve this?

If I am using
style="OVERFLOW: auto;height=150;width=125"
I am getting both the scroll bars. But I want the behaviour similar to wrap text property.

There are two attributes - overflow-x and overflow-y, which control the scrollbars independently, so to hide one and show the other, use something like...

but they used readymade option overthere called contextmenu..
how can i get that menu?

i hve not seen that in my gridview property..
i think that contextmenu is custom control.

Bipin,
You are right, it is custom control. But to put it in to gridview you can add it in to cell during databind method. But it will not feasible to put it in all cell, so if you have functionality to put it in one column or particular cell than it will work.

and if you want to add to whole grid than you need to develop custom control and for that javascript context menu will help you, this menu attaches with any html element in case of gridview(table), and popup on right click of that particular html element.
