hi all,
I want to create a timer programatically in VB.Net and need to activate
its Tick event. I have created the timer by using the following
statements:
Dim tmr As New System.Windows.Forms.Timer
tmr.Interval = 10000
How can I fire its Tick event? actually i want to perform a particular action in every 10 minuts.
any help will be appreciated...
thanks in advance

I'm guessing you're trying to use it in a desktop application and not a web one, right? I'm asking you this because you posted the question in the ASP.Net forum.
Because if you would want the timer functionality in a web application you would have to keep in mind that ASP.NET is stateless.

I don't think so that would be the error because the application is working after refreshing it.

i'm trying to use TabPanel1 Ajax Control but get this error
"An unhandled exception has occured. A ScriptManager is required on the page to use ASP.NET AJAX Script Components"
this error occures when i try to drag in my form.
I have add ScriptManager on top of the form but still don't works.
How can i solve this error??
Thanks

Where does the ScriptManager appear in the control tree? You mention in your question that you've added it to the top of the form, but I'm not clear on what you mean by that. You may or may not already be aware, but in order for ASP.NET AJAX components to work, the ScriptManager must be added into the control tree before any controls that use it. Ideally, the ScriptManger should be the first tag following the <form> tag. If your ScriptManager appears after your TabPanel, that could explain the message that you are seeing.
If your ScriptManager is in the proper position, the other thing that occurs to me is that you may have a versioning issue. I've seen a couple of posts that mention this, but this[^] one from the ASP.NET forums explains it best, in my opinion.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply I solve that, problem was: i were calling another dll, i called current one and I compiled it OK.
But i still have same error when i drag TabPanel , I run my app and at runtime i didn't get that error also my controls in TabPanel are not showing, in design time I get that error.
Thanks in help

A couple of things that you may wish to explore:- Did you ever have a pre-release version of ASP.NET AJAX on the development machine? If so, did you uninstall all components of it, including the extensions and toolkit?
- If you create a new solution with only an ASP.NET AJAX project, and add just the ScriptManager and TabPanel to the page, do you still get the error?

I drag ScriptManager without problems but when I drag TabPanel I get this error

I have a forum feature request - every message should have the words "How do I" appended to the beginning and a question mark at the end.

Wasn't hard, was it?
What exactly do you mean? You want the mouse x,y position? The top left corner of the cell x,y position? or the mouse x,y position relative to the cell?
Each one of those is more complex than the last.
