It only took a month of asking, but it's finally here
Now I hope we have a decent place to discuss 2D, 3D, OpenGL and Direct3D, 3D algorithms, and general rendering techniques.

I'm pretty sure the name 'Graphics' was chosen simply because 'DirectX, OpenGL, GDI,GDI+, ASCII-ART and 3DMAX but definatly not PHP' would be a little too long.

WPF? SVG? VG.net? DirectX? etc...? All of the above?

(except for the directx bit of course)
Real shame there's no dedicated wpf board, hint.

You could say that about the WinForms forum too

Uh, how is OGL made redundant by WPF and not DX?
|

Well I'm guessing that in about a year or two nearly everyone will be using WPF heavily (who program in .net for windows) and a very tiny fraction of the users of codeproject will be programming directly against dx or opengl. I added the exemption because programmers being the anal bunch that we are someone would have pointed out to me that wpf uses dx.
Actually I don't care, but there really should be a dedicated wpf area, it's going to be huge.

Agreed. Although, I wonder if throwing it into this forum is good or keeping it separate would be better.
Oh well, I'm just happy to have to place to go on and on about OGL with.
