Hi Friends
How a size of a class can be determined? As an example
Class A
{
}
Class A
{
int i;
public A()
{
i=10;
}
}
Class B
{
A aa=new A()
public B()
{
}
}
What would be the size of object of type A and B ??
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,

Unfortunately, there's no quick and easy way (unless you're using Mono where Marshal.SizeOf returns the size of a type in managed code). Common methods for working with size information include using GC.GetTotalMemory, but this is not fine grained enough for the type of detail you want.
A better alternative is to use the .NET profiling API. Unfortunately, this means that you are probably going to get down and dirty with C++.

Hi
The easy way is start your windows project as a console application.
To do this go to
Project\properties\Common properties\General
Change the value Output Type from Windows Application to Console Application.
Now run the project.
You will see that a console window will be opened fist which then launches the windows application what ever you write using Console.WriteLine will now appear on the Console window.
Please let me know if this helps

Hi guys,does anyone of you know how I can implement the recording of screen activity and saving it into a common format like wmv,avi,mpeg ? What are the namespaces I can reference and how is ActiveX able to help me to achieve the functionality?

hi all,
I am using a listview to display a set of titles.I need to set the width of these items dynamically.Each item has its own number of characters and the width has to be adjusted accordingly. I am not using a columnheader.These are items which are added dynamically.
I tried giving this code as suggested in some of the sites.
for each (col in listview1.columns)
{
col.width=-1;
}
but still i am not able to set the width of the item.
Any ideas on this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
At any time you can only specify the width of each column only..And not the width of each item...
For example,let the name of the ListView as "Logs".
You can add the columns like,
Logs.Columns.Add("Column1", 100, HorizontalAlignment.Center); where the second parameter (100) is the width of the first column... You can change this value to any number.
While adding the subitems , first you create a parent item
ListViewItem lList = new ListViewItem("Employee Name");//Parent Listview item
Then add the sub items to teh parent one...
lList.SubItems.Add("ABCD");
lList.SubItems.Add("EFGH"); Etc.,
Finally,
Logs.Items.Add(lList);
Thanks & Rgds,
Sri..

Please let me know if it is posssible to use instance of one application into another ? For example, i have one application, I am creatiing a instance for it, I want to access this same instance into other application.

Don't put the entire post as subject. It's too much text to be useful as a subject.
What exactly do you mean by accessing an instance of an application? What is is that you are trying to accomplish?
You can start another application from one application. If you start a console application, you can redirect the input and output to streams that you create yourself.

Suppose I have an application A. I create a instance of it. Now I want to access this existing instance of application A into application B.

You've just said the same thing again. Repeating an unclear instruction doesn't make it any clearer.

I have an appplication A, which has a method to save information regarding the status of the application whenever the application closes abruptly. I want to access this method in my windows service and save the status of the application A whenever the application closes abruptly.
