when i click in one button i want to open datetime picker in anotherform and when i select date i want to show the datetime in a textbox near to that button.i think we can write javascript function for that.is anybody know from where i will get the codings for that ?

Create one page that holds date time picker and when clicking popup that page. Then datetime picker will be in another page..

Where you want to show the date ? In first page or the page where datetime picker resides ? If in first page use parent property of javacript.
parent.opener will give access to the window which opened datetimepicker window. Code could be something like this

HI All ,
I am getting Problem with connection string.I know the syntax and Everything.I am getting problem with Data Source name.I Checked in Service manager in that server name is like this B4B-2F-323-CK26.
But when i try to open Enterprise manager then it is showing (local)windowsNT.
My connection String like this:

i am displaying Login table details in datagrid.i am getting blank aspx page as output.

Hi
Try to register again your server using SQL Enterprise Manager on your local machine and check whether it is connecting. If it is still not working, then change the datasource to an Server IP address, or may be network not connected properly... try pinging in the command prompt ..

Hope you have installed SQL Enterprise Manager.
Go to SQL Enterprise Manager->Expand Console->Microsoft SQL Servers
Right Click SQL Server Group->Click New SQL Server Registration. You will get wizard popup. Click Next.
Did you get the server names on the left list??
If the server name is on the list, then double click the server name.
If not, type the correct name (as like connecting to other machine \\Server-Name or \\Machine-Name or \\IPAddress).
Before doing the above step, check whether server is available. How?? Go to start -> Run. Type \\server-machine-name. System will open a window mentioning the server path on the address bar means server is available.
One more thing, make sure that SQL Server service is started only then you will be able to get to database.
Now go back to SQL Wizard. Click next, by default Windows Authentication will be selected. If you know the UserId and password, you can change it to SQL Account and type correct userid and password.
Click Next, It will ask for SQL Server Group. Leave this step and click next.
Click Finish, it will be added to the SQL Server Group.
Now expand the SQL Server Group->Instead of local(windows NT)....Your server name will be there. Expand it, you will get Databases ...etc...
Once done. You can run your application with the same datasource.
If you are getting error on registering SQL Server, check the network is there or SQL Server Service is started (not stopped)

Thanks for Quick Reply.I followed all steps that u mentioned above.
1.I didnot get any server names in the left list.
2.i given \\10.185.80.205 then it opened printers and faxes page.same message i got when i gave 'machine-name' in start-->run
3. i have given my system IPAddress in leftlist then it is visible in SqlServer tree.
4.In codebehind when i gave Data Source =ipaddress of my machine then also
i did not display any records from database.
Pls suggest me again ..Thank inAdvance.

Try register again with login name and password (select SQL Account Login from the wizard).

No need to delete the existing one. Right Click -> Edit SQL Server Registration. Change to SQL Logon instead of Windows Authentication.

when i am binding gird in page load it showing default values for check boxes in templet field means what ever at design time those but if i bind in button click then this is not happpned why is it so..

When button is clicked page will post back and will execute all the contents in the page load. So try to call the binding function in pageload like this

hello there,i know its not the righ place to ask some query,im cannot access my database in a query pane..i made a database where the username column has value and the password has none for e.g Username:93838383 and password:?..i just want to update the password column inputed by the user
I make the query in th stord procedure but th error said: Incomplete SET clause..unable to parse query text
i just want someone to check out the query and pls tell me what wrong or incomplete to my query
UPDATE UserTable
SET ((UserTable.[password] = [@password])
WHERE ((UserTable.username = [@username])
another thing is whenever the user visit the site,when the user type the password,it could not be updated anymore..unless i just want to use "select clause" because password column have now values...
here is the query
SELECT COUNT(*) AS Num_of_User
FROM UserTable
WHERE (((UserTable.username)=[@username]) AND ((UserTable.pasword)=[@password]));
error:unable to parse query text
it is correct query for accessing the values from the database?
im using a visual web developer IDE

Count your parentheses.
Also, don't you want to specify the parameters @password and @username instead of the fields [@password] and [@username]?

I have a software in CD which contains .dll and an .exe of a software.I copied that software folder and put inside of a asp.net application and create a link to execute the software.but it didn't work.plz give me the solution.
