Hey Guys
Im using a microsoft crypto API func and it has the ability to hand in a callback function to it. What i want to know is if i can get it to use my call back function and then after its run that get my function to go back to the micrsoft function rather then my callback. You see what i want to do is just get a pionter that is handed to the callback function i then want it to get on and do all the work.
Is this possible

In the MSDN Library Help window, there is a results window displayed when the "search" tab is selected which I would like to emulate. The three buttons, "Title, "Location" and "Rank", seem to be part of that window. Does anyone know how this is done? Is it a custom class derived from CListBox? Any insight or a link to some sample code would be appreciated.

It's a listview control in report mode. If you're using MFC, check CListCtrl.

I have an MDI MFC application and in some sitations I don't want the user to be able to switch between documents. It sounds easy but I have not not been able figure it out.
Any help will be appreciated

Perhaps you can save the identity of the current document in some kind of global along with a switch indicating whether the user can switch or not. In the OnActivate for the view, check to see if the document being activated is the right one, if not, re-active the correct one.
You might be able to do something more sophisitcated with PreTranslateMessage to suppress the activation altogether.

you could look for the document you want on top losing focus (there is an event for this) and force it back to the top of the z-order
just a guess

How about just looping through all of the views & hiding the ones that belong to the non-active documents? Worth a try maybe...

why would this dialog never make it threw the if-else. I watch it and it starts from the top each time and will never go away.
void CAMID::OnSetfocusVelocityKt()
{
CNumEntry dlg;
if(dlg.DoModal() == IDOK2)
{
}
else
{
return;
}
}

Maybe it's this ....
are you sure the ok button has the IDOK2 id, or IDOK ???
Max.

doubled checked it - its IDOK2

Your OnSetfocus handler is called when window receives focus. Then it shows modal dialog, and after closing this dialog focus returns. Your handler gets called again. Then it shows modal dialog...

that makes total sense. lets see if I can remedy it now.
thanks for the help.

Tomasz has explained why the dialog keeps popping up infinitely. But here is something elsein that code of yours that's a little worrying. But the return value you check for is IDOK2. If you really want the DoModal() to return something out of the normal set, you'd have to call EndDialog explicitly passing the return value you want to return! I thought I'd mention that before you run into some unexpected behaviour!

I started looking into another way to call this dialog, but I can't seem to find one that will
I can use. The OnFocus seemed to be the perfect on, but that caused problems.
How can I get this box to work on a click?

Hello
Not a long ago I got a task to write a programm, that solve a frequency of sound card. All colculations must do in real-time.
It's a my first project of that type and I not totally undestand how do it. May be it's programm had already done In this case would you be so kind as to write a text of programm or send to my e-mail.
Beforehand thanks for all.

I'm not clear what you're asking. What do you mean "solve a frequency of sound card"?
|
|
|
|
|
Sorry, I mean calculate a frequency of sound card.
|
|
|

It still doesn't make sense. A sound card has no frequency since it's not a waveform. Perhaps if you told us what you really want to know about the soundcard someone could tell you.

Sound is consist of many frequencies. Spicer has only one frequency. I need to find the total value of frequencies. Have you ever seen WinAmp? In this porgramm use this tecnilogy. We can see a waveform.
How can I get it?

I'm still not sure if you want the FFT spectral analysis or just the oscilloscope-like view. For the latter you only need to sample the amplitude and display (or whatever you want to do with it).
But without any further information on what your requirements are it would still be guesswork.
What exactly do you want to be able to do? Do you want to be able to capture a perfect digital copy, or is it OK to loose a couple of samples here and there? Do you
need to capture the sound played from any program (probably needs kernel hacking), or do you have access to the (source code to) the program that is to play the sounds?

For example we attached a microphone and shouting to it.
In the monitor must be animation of wave that utter from us.
With help this we can automatically colculate the frequency of sound
How can it do?
In the beginning we can use the MP3 file.

Ahhh, that's quite simple. Have a look at any of the sound recording examples. There are quite a few samples of this around the 'net, not to mention there is at least one sample in MSDN.
To plot your curve you just use the sample value as the y-axis and your time-step as the x-axis (probably wrapped at the right edge of your view). The same for analyzing a stored sound that your program is playing.
But to do this for another application playing a sound, no matter what API that app is using, I think you're either looking at some kernel hacking, or a simple analogue cable between your soundcards output to its input (so that you can get the sound recorded - you can AFAIK only record incoming sounds, not outgoing).
