There may be some error in the environment, check the shortcut in the start menu and try setting the "start in" directory to the app dir. If this fixes it, go through your code and check where you open files without using a complete path.

that be a bit vague mate.
You say you created a windowless control that flickers too much?
I'm assuming the control is doing a timer for you and it triggers your
drawing code...
make sure your code does not do an erase background;
next, you may need to double buffer the drawing;
need more to help more..... the timer is not the issue, it's your drawing
technique. There are a zillion articles on this topic.

is it atmost necessary to create the windowless control!

Ok
This happens bcos when I tes the activeX control in VB during the design time there is flickering. But At the same time when this application is run there is no flickering. Its just great.

Maybe posting code will help.

What is that your project is doing exactly?
are you using CFile class?

yah,
i have to show some data on the window from database and save that data into file. I just found out that it only crashes when the files are on the desktop.That is when i try to open the file on desktop using CFileOpendialog, my application going to closed.
But that file placed on any other drives like(c:,d:,..), nothing to worry, it will execute successfully...
Thanks in advance

Is this part of your application's functionality?
