Yes,it is more difficult to view page for 1000 times than vote it for 10 times.

The number of viewings tells you nothing except that the description or keywords are good 
Iwould be handy, however, if the list of article by section gave the number of views as well as the score and even more handy (for authors) if the "my articles" list gave the view count, score and number of votes.

Even so, ignoring it isn't going to achieve anything. Working out why these people feel this way and attempting to address whatever real or imagined problem they have may achieve something. And, of course, you can't know for sure that it isn't feedback on the content of the article unless you ask them why they voted in that way and what you could do to improve the article.
So, I stand by my original suggestion that making it easy for authors to view this information is useful, even if the author would rather the figures told a different story. Or, perhaps there should be an option we can set in our settings to say how much higher than reality we'd like the scores on our articles to be when we look at them

well if u're as sick as i'm, using the proposed rating scheem. You can view your own article and increase it's rating.

Pickung up a suggestion in the lounge:
What about a list of "My favorite articles" for everyone to see?
It could be similar to the bookmarks technically, but I would keep them separate - bookmarks for tech issues, come and go, and "favorites" (or recommendations to avoid confusion) for what we want to tell every fellow CPian we think is ingenious.
Would also make an interesting way of walking through articles - I could almost forget about tghe "random walk"

Having a bookmark section and a favourites would be doubling up. I think a better option is to allow readers to view each other's bookmarks and have the option of hiding some or all of your bookmarks from others.

If you are using a database, even an Access DB, try embedding and ASP Script (providing the article is HTML format) that connects to your database and updates an number field each time the article gets loaded into a browser for viewing.

As Nish has said, all articles already show the view count. Look at the top of the sidebar under 'Toolbox' and you'll see the count in bold.

It would be good if the editors/subeditors send us a report of what they corrected in our articles when they move them. This way we can avoid recurring in the same mistakes. I know this woulb probably give much more work to the editors than they currently have but that would make the articles more errorless.

They usually only edit the formatting. Unless the grammar totally sucks they don't touch the language.
If you format your HTML according to the CP specs, it'd be easier for them to move your article.
