Thanks for the information! I'll try this to solve the problem. I have just one question. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms686227.aspx[^] says the following about the first parameter:
[in] The shutdown priority for a process relative to other processes in the system. The system shuts down processes from high dwLevel values to low. The highest and lowest shutdown priorities are reserved for system components. This parameter must be in the following range of values.
The value 3FF is listed as the highest value for applications in the table following the description. Shouldn't SHUTDOWN_LEVEL be equal to 3FF?
Unfortunatly my monitoring service is doing more than just restarting the other services so the recovery options are not sufficient in this case.

I m making a project in c#.net,a window application.
I have a form on which i have kept a listbox, which show names of clients who are online at that particular time through a query.
Now, how can i display a small smiley image(a .jpg image) before the clients name who is online(in the listbox)?
Before each clients name in d listbox this smiley icon should appear (as in yahoo messenger)...
How can i do this?
Thank you in advance.
Regards nekshan.

you need to write your own control, a listbox can only display text.

a ListBox contains an ItemCollection which holds objects; these can be user drawn,
(MeasureItem, DrawItem events) and are not limited to text...

use grid control not list box for it.

You can also use the ListView control.

Hi. I'm using an XmlTextWriter to write some stuff to an xml file.
I get this exception when I try to write the second node: Token StartElement in state Epilog would result in an invalid XML document.
This code snippet is for illustration purposes:
XmlTextWriter writer = new XmlTextWriter("test.xml", Encoding.UTF8);<br />
<br />
writer.WriteStartDocument();<br />
writer.WriteWhitespace(Environment.NewLine);<br />
<br />
for (int i = 1; i <= 10; i++)<br />
{<br />
writer.WriteStartElement("node" + i.ToString());<br />
writer.WriteValue("CodeProject");<br />
writer.WriteEndElement(); <br />
}<br />
<br />
writer.Close();
What am I missing or doing wrong?
It should be pretty straightforward, yet...
Thanks.

Every XML document has to have one ( and only one ) root node. Add a single root node, and you can have as many sibling or nested nodes inside that as you like.

Unless prolog creates DLLs that p/invoke can call, the answer is probalby no.

If your prolog compiler can build a standard c++ style dll you can p/invoke it the same way. If not you're sol without p#.

What is your problem ? Your previous requests are still visible. Why do you keep posting them ? Why not spend the time googling for an answer instead ?

You have asked this 3 times in the space of around 2.5 hours! Seriously, you need to learn some patience. If it is that urgent why not take a support call out with Microsoft. For a small feel they'll help you as a matter of priority.

Hi!
I am developing application in C# (winform).I am reading data from a text file and storing it in a DataTable, then adding that DataTable to a DataSet and making that DataSet as DataSource of DataGridView control.
DataTable contains 5 columns, and one of them contains boolean value. i want to add a checkbox column in DataTable which will represent that boolean column.
i tried to add DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn into DataTable but error occured saying that DataTable can only have a column of type DataColumn.
Can any body tell me how can i add such column in DataTable. I cannot add a checkbox column in datagridview because mostly my datagridview displays more than 100000 records and when i try to add 100000 rows into datagridview it takes too much time.
Thanks in advance...
