Try looking at _spawnlp and other spawn functions.

my bad, i quoted it wrong.
change with this :
::ShellExecute(NULL,
_T("open"),
_T("C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\Office10\\WINWORD.exe"),
_T("C:\\BillPrint\\6.doc"),
NULL,
SW_SHOWNORMAL);
or even better, this (if word is the application registered with .doc extension) :
::ShellExecute(NULL, _T("open"), _T("C:\\BillPrint\\6.doc"), NULL, NULL, SW_SHOWNORMAL);

Dude, teach me. How the heck did you figure the OP wanted to launch an app when (s)he asked
how to start a command prompt?
Are you psychic? What kind of evil forces are at work here?

Hi,
I m using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and i have a problem that i can't open more than 1 image in single child window.I can definitely open them in tabs but i want them to get open in same child window.
Any suggestions or code for the above are heartily welcome.....

I'm not certain what you want to do ?
You want to be able to display more than one image at the same time in one child window ? or one after the other in the same child window ?
|
|
|
|
|
Thanks for going through my problem.
I want to display more than one image at the same time in a single child window(say 2 or 3 image)

Wht issue you are facing while drawing more than one image?
Are you drawing the images or you use any control to show the image?
If you are drawing the image, then chk for the coordinates, where you are drawing and chk you are getting the image (are the images loaded properly).

Thanks for your consideration.
Actually, i have written a code to read the images stored in my computer and i m not drawing any image but problem is that it can show only 1 image in a single child window. I want that it can also show 2 or 3 images in the same child window.

Don't understand your need. if you are not drawing anything how you can able to see 1 image. Better you can post some code..

That still doesnt give us any clue about what you are trying to do. How do you display your images ? And why is it limited to one image ?

You're not drawing any image but one gets drawn....hmmm.
Who is drawing that 1 image? Windows don't do it by themselves

When i run the code,it gives me an option of "Open".So while opening the image,i can only open 1 image in a single window and i want that if it would be possible to open more than one image in a single window & not superimposing on previous one at the same time.

Are you using MFC? If so, what class is the window?
At some point you'll need to implement functionality to load more images and render them.

yeah i m using MFC and openCV in my code.I m not getting the proper code to get my work done.
|
|
|
|
|
openCV is providing the image rendering? If so, then that would be a good place to look
for a solution. In plain MFC there's a variety of solutions - GDI+ being the simplest IMO.
