Hi Guys,
I want my images on the page to load after the contents of the page are loaded.I have about 10 images in my page which causes the delay to load my page.
If anyone has suggestions or coding please reply.

Before U start, please read about Buffer property of the
Response class.

You may want to consider including your img tags with an empty src attribute in your initial HTML. You could then include a client script fragment to set the src after the page has loaded. For example:

hi
i am sending HTML mail thorugh my applicaion and in that mail there is a button when user clicks that button it should update a row in my DB. is tere any idea how to do that .

If you're sending HTML, and if the mail viewer allows it, then you can render a button and have it call a page. But, most people won't see it, obviously.

Well K,
what you could do is to send the user to one particular
page on your site after that click, and with that you
should pass the information that needs to be updated.
On that page you could retrieve the information sent by the
user and from there you can easily update your database
by a simple SQL query.

i am doing it for example there is a page leave application , user fills and send it his boos thorugh an email, in email there are links accept and reject. On accept another ASP page opens and it updates the respstvie DB.
as far flow is concern it is oki but i dont want user to see the page.

Ok that means you don't want the boss to view
the new page that opens after he accepts or rejects
an application. Right!
Not even a message page whether his action has updated the
database or not

Yes ,management dont want that they go on any page and change things.
they want a link yes or no, if yes then update DB. we can show them a paage that changes made but they dont want to go on a page and click button there to update. what i am doing now in a test application i am semding a link ,on click it goes to a page where there is a button along with record entry .
my point is is there a way to update directly from email.

Hi K,
I think there can be two possibilities for this
1) Have a stored procedure on the database that will be called on clicking
the button provided in the mail. And since you just need to activate the stored procedure you don't have to send the user to any page or so just pass the database structures properly.
2) The second option is to write a click event handler for the accept or reject link and keep the href blank.
Hopefully this solves your issue

Hi All,
I have developed a web based application in ASP. I have deployed it in a machine in our local intranet. when i need to run the application i need to type the system name ,followed by the virtual directory name ( i.e http://system101/banking/login.asp )..
But my problem is i need a Intranet DNS for Direction to the path .ie. when type "bank.com" in the browser i need to load the application . can any one plz help me ..... thanks in advance..

I want to use input file html control to pick a graphic file from teh disk and display it on an image control, but there is no event for input=file htm control to put the code to display the graphic file in the image control. Even after adding the attribute runat=server

Hi all.
I need help. I want to read mutiple html files from a folder (help needed here) and convert them to .txt files and manipulate them (no help needed).
I want to know how to do this. I know i have to loop through the folder and load each file independantly,process it, and move onto the next file.
If anyone can help, please reply...

I m having a javascript calendar,which gives me the date in dd/MM/yyyy format.
My machines regional setting is also in dd/MM/yyyy format.
but when i m trying to save it in the database,it gives me the error "Invalid date time."
although when i set my calendar to return dates in MM/dd/yyyy format,it runs smoothly.But my users want it in dd/MM/yyyy format.
my code is
strIssueDate = Trim(txtIssueDate.Value)
If strIssueDate <> "" Then
dtIssuedate = DateTime.Parse(strIssueDate, System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture.DateTimeFormat).ToShortDateString

after this line i face the error.

Same problem even I was facing. U just need to change the date format the way user wants to see it and let the date in db be in the format MM/dd/yyyy.

Hi Gurus,
I was to stream clients Audio and Video to live audience from mywebsite.
I wanted to give users facility to get online and start streaming live from their
Webcam and mic. And the first thing that came to my mind to deploy this
was Windows Media Server and Windows Media Encoder.
I started developing the application and as long I was working
on my developer machine it was all fine but now as i started testing on my server
I am in a total mess.
My WMEncoder is installed on the server and the problem is
when I try to hit the streaming page from my client it enumerates
the devices on the server and not on my client machine.
So whatever the stream is generated is genrated from the webcam on
server and not my webcam
And if no webcam is connected to server the encoder simply fails, hanging the
server Sad 
I am compeletly stuck in this and can't find any solution so far.
Any pointer or help would be really great
