Hi All,
I have created web service using C#, VS2005. I can browse the web service and check whether the web methods are working fine or not (on my develoment server); so far so good.
I want to deploy this web service on other host, so I created web setup project from VS2005 and created installables. I ran these installables on other host and they got added too (I checked it through IIS manager).
Now when I browse the web service I get the following error message.
"The page cannot be found.
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. "
Could someone let me know what exactly am I missing here.
I am new to both C# and web services, so any kind of help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
JD.

I am pretty sure you figured this one out on a different thread, try not to cross post in the future.

By default TrackBar is horisontal. Is there any way to make it vertical?

The TrackBar doesn't have that option. You'd have to either find a control that does this for you, or make your own.

I just checked with .Net 2.0 and it does have the option to make a track bar horizontal or vertical. Just change the "Orientation" property from horizontal to Vertical.

Yeah, thanks, but it didn't help. The orientation of arrow is to right, and I want to left.

Change the TickStyle property from BottomRight to TopLeft.

Your welcome. Just playing with the properties in the controls helps one to learn the controls and what they can do well.

Use static library versions of C Runtime(libcmt.lib & libcmtd.lib) instead of these Dynamic libraries..

Can anyone tell me what is serialisation?
Regards,
LEE

It is the process of taking an object and translating it to something like xml so that you can save it to a database or pass it to some other process. Then you can read in that serialized data and de-serialize it back into the original object.

Serialisation is the process of converting an onject into a stream of bytes..

Serialisation is a process of converting objects to streams.
The stream may be of bytes(Binary serialisation) or XML(XML Serialization).
Serialisation is usefull when
1. There is a requirement to pass objects over network.
2. There is a need to store the object in a file or a database.

Hi
I've got here a simple PropertyGrid on my Form.
And there is an Array with n-Objects of simple Class with n
Properties. Alle these Objects are from the same type, but not all the Properties have the same value!
I used the Code of the following Article to localize all the
Properties, Descriptions, Categories... this works well if I use the
SelectedObject-Property of the PropertyGrid!
http://www.codeproject.com/cs/miscctrl/GlobalizedPropertyGrid.asp?df=...
But if I try the SelectedObjects-Property, the PropertyGrid will not
show the Categories... it displays only the Misc-Category instead of
my own 3 Categories.
And the other Problem is, the PropertyGrid sort the Properties not by
the DisplayName. it use the Name to sort all the Properties.
Anybody know a Workaround for this two Problems?

Hello,
I try my first experiments with c# and DotNet. I use a ListView in detailed view. Now, if the amount of columns increase, horizontal scrolling is enabled and works. This is nice but I want to fix the first column, so that only the columns from 2 up to n are affected by the scrolling. I don't know if it is important: I'm using the compact framework because the program runs on a pda.
Thanks
Karsten
