Hi!
I am a bit lost. I want to upload multiple files and key-value pairs via HTTP post.
A single file and a single collection of key-value pairs is easy. You just have to use the System.Net.WebClient class and its UploadFile, UploadValues method.
Can anyone explain to me how to post both files and values with one request? I would very much appreciate any hint!
TIA

Hi guys, I have a class as described below
Class#1
IsmartBall <---->An Interface
SmartBall <---->Methods Implementated
All I want to do is that in my form1 OnPaint method if i instantiated smartBall i.e
smartBall sm = smarthBall() so smartBall should be drawn on form1. How may I achieve this functionality. In my smartBall class constructor how can I call it's OnPaint method. Any suggestion i am lost
thanks in advance

You can't EVER call OnPaint. You call Invalidate() to force a paint event, which calls it. Does this solve the problem ? If your form is invalidated, then the controls on the form will be, too.

Thanks for your reply, So how may I build my ping pong game. What I was thinking about is that to instantiatea smartBall class so I can get a ball object to be drawn anywhere I want. Lets say later on, I want to provide a user to drag and drop a ball from a panel of their choice to be played on the board. Please suggest me how can I construct this game looking forward.
Thanks

The last thing you want, is a control which represents a ball. You may well have a class that represents a ball, but you should just be drawing in your onpaint ( or better yet, in DirectX ), not moving controls about.

I'm trying to program a "Windows Control Library" (aka User Control) which is to be embedded into an Internet Explorer webpage. The only way that I've found to be able to call javascript functions from the C# code is to use DOM but this raises a security exception unless I use the .NET Framework Configuration Tool to give it the necessary permissions.
Is there any way to allow an embedded control to call a javascript function without changing settings on the client side?

How do I change default startup icon in application?
Thanks in advance.

Right-click the project in the solution explorer, click menu properties, Application tab, Resources Group ->Icon. This will be slightly different in pre-VS.NET 2005 programming packages.

Hello!
hope you all are doing fine! can anyone help me with the simplest possible way of authenticating a windows user(local account) taking login name and password as input?
tried with the WindowsIdentity and WindowsIdentityMembers but they deal with token, i simply want to take the login name and password, and display error if the user is not the valid user of the local machine!
Thanks in advance! !

Take a look at the HelpProvider class.

Hi, this is my first time trying to use classes on my own. can you show me how to use this class to view the file .chm pls

The MSDN documentation of the HelpProvider contains all the information you need (including examples). Read through it, drop an instance of the HelpProvider component from the toolbox onto your form and experiment with it.

Hi, I have a DataTable with 4 columns (id, type, length and note) which i bind to a DataGridView (mydataGridView.DataSource = mydataset.Tables[0]. How can I make the "type" column in my datagridview a DataGridViewComboBoxColumn with 3 values (say "white", "black", "gray") representing the same values stored in the DataTable type column?
Any help would really be appreciated.

This always answers my questions, I suggest looking there first (I DLed the doc at the top). That said, I have never figured out your problem, I just did a work around:
1. Create an unbound DataGridViewComboBoxColumn
2. Fill it with your selectable values
3. Add it to your DataGridView
4. Set its value based on the bound column
5. Hide the bound column
6. Create a CellValueChanged event
7. On changing the unbound column value, update the bound column
If you are dead set on putting the bound column as a combo box, I think you would have to pre-populate your columns in the datagridview prior to binding your datasource (3 textboxes and 1 combobox appropriately named), otherwise I have no success trying to change the DataGridViewTextBoxColumn (default) to ComboBox.
Good Luck

You can add the columns at design time or run time. At design time, try the "Columns" property in the IDE. You can type the column name and select type.

The string.Format method will do this for you.

Thank you.
Do you have any sample how to pass width and presicion variables to Format() and return padded string ?

This[^] section of MSDN doc covers string formatting in detail. There are some examples for you to examine. You should be able to find what you need in there.
Good luck!
