Hi all,
I want to compare my system time with the time in MS Access table. I want to display those records which are greater than the current time(even the seconds not the milli seconds).
Plz any one suggest me the query.

Hi,
I hope you can use CompareTo() method available in DateTime class. Basically you need to provide your current that will be available in your system. You can get it through using DateTime.Now
Then get the Datetime from access table and use the CompareTo method to findout the difference.

Happy mondays everyone,
I'm trying to get an ASP page to use a master page. I've got the HTML / ASP side of things working and my page looks like it should but I'm having problems getting my scripts to work. ASP doesnt't seem to like me putting a contentplaceholder in the document head so i can't add a tag. I've tried to use Page.Header and inject a tag that way but i can't seem to get that to work and it seems somewhat untidy.
What's the best way of getting this stuff to work?

It seems that while Visual studio was telling me that the tag name is unrecognised it was making me look in the wrong place, my error was elsewhere and it turns out that visual studio was just incorrectly reporting an error.
I now have a problem that my control names have changed.
How do you build your javascript when the control names change when the controls are moved to placeholders? I had the same problem with wrapping code in webcontrols and ended up hard coding the control name in the javascript which was something i planned to come back to fix.

I've written a function renderClientObjects, which hooks in and emits a js var, linked up with document.getElementById coded on the server side so I can use ClientId - can show you if needed - works nicely...

I am trying to connect to the database using SQL SErver 2005. I am creating a web application in VB.NET 2005.
I have defined a Connections string in Web.Config and now acessing the string to connect to the database. But It gives me this error.
"Cannot open database "Ranking" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'FAISAL\ASPNET'."
I am using Windows connection in connecting SQL SErver Express Editiion 2005.
Please help me guys its very urgent.

I require a software component to be added to an existing .net application(web based). The coponent or the software should posses the following features:
1. It should provide PC to Phone integration either on VOIP technology or TAPI or both.
2. It should provide automated phone dialing from phone number lists.
3. Transfer calls to other users internally.
4. Record conversations and provide automated call reports and statistics.
5. Every phone number in the system should be automatically clickable and the call details must be logged to that user.
6. The phone call must be recorded and stored as a sound file.
Can anyone help me to find any freewares or commercial products available in the market which can provide me the above features.

coding: aspx web pages in vb.net 2.0
database: sql server express
this is a weird one...
i'm trying to set the text of two password fields from a database query and it wont let me!
this is in the code behind:
txtPassword.Text = dtr.Item("password").ToString
txtPasswordCompare.Text = dtr.Item("password").ToString
and this is the page:
<asp:TextBox ID="txtPassword" runat="server" TextMode="Password"></asp:TextBox><br />
Please retype password<br />
<asp:TextBox ID="txtPasswordCompare" runat="server" TextMode="Password"></asp:TextBox>
the 1st text box 'txtPassword' gets populated but not the 2nd?
i can get round it using:
txtPassword.Attributes.Add("value", dtr.Item("password").ToString)
txtPasswordCompare.Attributes.Add("value", dtr.Item("password").ToString)
but then the passwords render as live text in the source code - far from ideal...
is there a way round this?!
any suggestions would be great,

thanks for getting back to me - have a feeling this should be a simple one, just needs the knowledge!
the 'dtr' is a SqlDataReader thats populated using a stored procedure:
Dim dtr As SqlDataReader
i then set the form fields with the values, for example:
txtUserName.Text = dtr.Item("username").ToString
which works for the 1st password field but not the 2nd!

i have 2 time dropdownlist, frmdrp and todrp, i just add collection to dropdown which is 8:30,9:00,9:30,10:00(completed to 24 hours)
For example i have selected 8:30 from the frmdrp then i select 12:30 from todrp.
After postback, the label will show the difference between the two time selected.
The result is:
label1="4" hour difference.
Can you help me with that?

Hi,
You can use the following logic if it is applicable to your requirments.
DateTime dt1 = Convert.ToDateTime(frmdrp.SelectedValue);
DateTime dt2 = Convert.ToDateTime(todrp.SelectedValue);
TimeSpan ts = dt2 - dt1;
int totalhours = ts.Hours;
int totalmins = ts.Minutes;
label1.Text = totalhours.ToString() + ":" + totalmins.ToString();

How can i insert multiple items from listbox in my table in database?
I have a category "Agents" on dropdownlist,
I have may names on my listbox,
If i click Insert it only insert 1 row not all the items inside my listbox.
