Just use Response.Redirect("abc.htm") on the button_click event in the aspx page.

I'd make the button plain HTML and do the redirect without bothering about a round trip.

That depends on how you want to display the page.
To display it in an existing window (usually the current), set the location property of that window. Example:
window.location = 'AnotherPage.html';
If you want to display it in a new window, use the open method. Example:
window.open('AnotherPage.html', '_blank');
You can also specify a third parameter in the method containing settings for the window, like size and position.

what namespace or include do i need to use for the new window.
i.e. where is '_blank' defined?

johno1967 wrote: what namespace or include do i need to use for the new window.
None. It's Javascript, and the window object is part of the DOM (document object model).
johno1967 wrote: where is '_blank' defined?
In the code. It's a string.

Hi
you can loop through all items of the listbox
<br />
foreach (ListItem objitem in ListBox1.Items)<br />
{<br />
if (objitem.Selected)<br />
{<br />
<br />
}<br />
}<br />

hello Everybody!!!
How are you???I m new in this forum!!!and my queries are...
>>>Is it possible to convert Asp.net 2.0 application into JSP J2EE??? Is there any software to do this job????
>>>Second thing is that in a very confidentional envirnment,eithe jsp is most secure or Asp.net???
>>>Is there any known security loophole in Asp.net2.0????
|
|
|
|
|
i think you can't convert asp.net to j2ee - There are many reasons (CLR & JVM)
it is subject of debate ASP.NET > JSP or JSP > ASP.NET i think in this forum all are ASP.NET lovers than JSP
i never have come across any loop hole i think it totally depends on Design and
developers

Why would you even want to ? The answer is no.
mabrar wrote: Second thing is that in a very confidentional envirnment,eithe jsp is most secure or Asp.net???
Neither is secure, if you don't use it properly. Both are secure, if you do.
mabrar wrote: Is there any known security loophole in Asp.net2.0????
ASP.NET is just an ASAPI filter, an HTML generation engine. As I said, security problems are caused by bad code, not the framework.

thanx to reply...
someone told me that on server side asp.net exposed it to the hackers more dalaberitly then jsp!!!
is there any reality in it???
can you give me any example of improper use leading asp.net to be unsecured???

Welcome to the forum.
I think that you should turn in your keyboard for repair, the ShIfT KeY DoeSN't seem to work properly, and some keyssssss seeeeeem to ggggggget stuuuuuck.
mabrar wrote: someone told me that on server side asp.net exposed it to the hackers more dalaberitly then jsp!!!

It's hard to compare the systems. It depends on a lot of things, like what operating system they are run on, and how interresting it is for hackers to penetrate the system. However, if there are any differences in the security, they are very small in comparison to the security level of an average web application. As Christain said, the security holes are in the applications, not in the framework.
mabrar wrote: can you give me any example of improper use leading asp.net to be unsecured?
There are many examples, like SQL injections[^] or XSS[^], but almost all of them boil down to one thing: Using input from the user as if it was known and secure. Input is evil[^].

No, there is no truth to that, it sounds like FUD to me.

How to find whether the control is TextBox or label or dropdownlist etc., in a page by using Javascript?
|
|
|
|
|
You can use document.Form1.elements[0].type=="text" to find whether the control is textbox or not.
BTW no need create a new thread for the same problem.
