Hi toticow,
I already solved my problem regarding the html tag. At the very top of my aspx I added the validaterequest="false" inside the directives, and it is working fine now.
Thanks for the support

Hello
I see your original question changed. Rather than turning off the validation at the top of the page as you do, you could also use the Server.HtmlEncode method
For more information, read this: http://www.asp.net/faq/RequestValidation.aspx[^]

Although not necessarily the best, FCKEditor is quite mature and comes with ASP.NET helper controls....oh and its free.

I've run into the same issue wuth AJAX, specifically when using JSON - as a workaround, I did a Server.URLEncode at the server end, and then a javascript unescape() followed by a global replace of "+" chars....seems to work quite nicely...

Please help?
I have an issue. I need to configure a datagrid so that when I click on a link in the datagrid, it automatically populates the form.
Say that I need to update something, I made an update control and then display the data in a datagrid using SQL 2005 Express. Now when I click on a link in the datagrid it must put all the details from that record into the updatecontrol form.
How do I go about doing this?
Thanks!!

add an commandName attibute to the linkButton and capture the event then access the grid (Note that all grid columns should be template column)

Perhaps don't use an alert message? alert messages force the user to give attention to it before moving forward in an application, and thus disrupting the users flow of the application. Anything that does that should only be used as a last resort (and if it has to be used you might want to rethink why)

hello every body,
i wrote an application using C under linux
application input are char * , should be written in server socket.
now i should work in the grphic part,
i would that it be like html-based device interface
(eg router), which tool(languages) should i use ?
thanks

im assuming you are writing a desktop type client app that talks to a server using standard socket stuff yes?
there are several toolkits you could use that have an html type control including:
Qt
Gtk
wxWidgets
VCF
it depends on what dev tools you have or feel comfortable with and whether you want to make the client app easily cross-platform or not

thnks for resposnes
i found it
a connection should be maintain between application and a php socket server.
then data will be send/received via php server to/from flex application
data base is accessible via php (the king in these cases)
what do you think ?
JEE??? haha
it sem to be more secure and light !

|
|

unless you have a specific reason not to i would strongly suggest you use http requests and use something like apache or iis as the back-end server ... i've written several apps like this and they work very well
|
|
|
|
|
so i should code a whole hhtp coding/decoding part on my C application
it seems to be a long task
didn't think you?

Hi Guys,
How can I resolve my problem on saving data with html tag?
My setup is this:
I have a table named PERSONAL which has a "Biography" field (FieldType = Text). And the PERSONAL table was created in MSSQL2005.
Then in my ASP.Net page I have a webcontrol textbox which is bind to "Biography" field.
Why is it, that, when I save the content of my textbox that has a string value and html tag in it, it does not saved?
ERROR:
"Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500"
Is there a way on how to solve this issue?

Attach a debugger and see what you're doing wrong?

you definitely need to see what the text is you are trying to insert into the database ... if it contains illegal chars it will be foobar'd when you try to save
