Cake is supposedly a great framework. By the sound of your spec... you should look at Joomla. If you have any questions during development feel free to ask here.

OSCommerce is an open source general e-commerce site programmed in PHP.
It typically lets the general public in but can be modified to only allow registered users in.
It has all the necessary capabilities of an e-commerce site built in.
I can help with customization questions. I have customized it for a client and it was a fairly painless process once I got used to the presentation style.

hi
on web page,when i view it through browser,its like any web page,but when i place my cursor on any frame,and drag it down,whole content of the page move up in the single frame,hope you are getting the question.
it like as if there is an invisible scrollbar
thanks

There is. It probably means you have set scrollbars=false (or something like that) but the height of the frame is bigger than the height you've given it. Again, give up on frames....

I think you gave width height of the controls in Pixels. try it in percentage
Always give size in %

I have been attempting to add a Confirmation Popup to a Button that comes from a ButtonField in a GridView. I have successfully identified the Button and added the Javascript with the code below. When I press the Button, a Confirmation Popup comes up with the "Ok" or "Cancel" buttons as usual. The problem is that when I press the "Ok" button….no post back is made. I can't figure it out. Is there some kind of special consideration that I missed with adding this kind of confirmation to a Button from a ButtonField?
Private Sub gv_MaterialGrpLegacy_RowDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs) Handles gv_MaterialGrpLegacy.RowDataBound
Dim RowButton As Button
RowButton = e.Row.Cells(0).Controls(0)
RowButton.OnClientClick = String.Format("javascript:return confirm('Are You Sure You Want To Remove This {0}?');", "")
Thanks to all that have helped me in the past, and those who can help me with this!

Excuse me for the stupid question, but after a few hours of searching through the net I'm still not quite sure if IIS is a stand-alone package that I can download and install, or does it only come integrated with Windows Server 2003? And what exactly OS and Server do I need to run ASP .NET Apps?
I'm sleepy. But I can't get a rest because of those *********.

You can't download IIS, it's included in Windows.
For Windows Server NT 4 you install Option Pack to get IIS. In Windows Server 2000 and Windows Server 2003 IIS is installed by adding it in Windows Components.
To run ASP.NET applications you need .NET framework and IIS. For testing you can use any Windows version that includes IIS, like Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro. Visual Studio 2005 includes a stand-alone web server, and doesn't require IIS for testing. For hosting a site you need Windows Server.

What exactly is not working? What have you tried?

set width of text box in Pixels and then in "%" but, both gives different result of width (IE and Fire Fox).

Specify also the padding, as the default padding differs.

When IE 6/7 is not in standards mode, the border, padding and the bounding box width is included in the total of the said element: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250395.aspx[^].
