I am not sure if you are asking it you can do it through programming in C#. If you are, then the answer is no. If you are talking about manually, then yes you can. You have to look at what the identity of your app pool is running as. Be default it is aspnet. So you can give aspnet and iis_WPG access to the folder and subfolders. You should make sure to give mimimum access that is needed, since in general you really don't want to give IIS rights that it doesn't need. Just make sure that whatever rights you give to the aspnet user you all give to iis_wpg group.
Hope that helps.

IIS does not control disk access.
Open the properties for the folder and go to the security tab to change file access for users. The account that is used for running ASP.NET code is usually ASPNET or IIS_WPG.

As long as you are only concerned abnout doing this on your own, private development machine, I have found the simplest way to deal with this "problem" is to add a line like the following to the web.config file of the application:
<identity impersonate="true" userName="XXX" password="YYY" />
where XXX/YYY is a(n) administrator login for your machine. Make sure you don't upload this to the deployment server... I only resorted to this because for reasons I never could fathom I had a hell of a job trying to configure the ASPNET account to have write access. But this works.
cheers

got this from another forum (http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/38330/0/):
This is an authentication problem which can be resolved as follows:-
Open Explorer and select the ORACLE_HOME directory, e.g. c:OracleOra92
Right click on the directory and look at its properties.
Go to the Security tab and select Authenticated Users.
Unclick and then re-click the Read & Execute permission under the Allow column.
Click the advanced button and ensure that the Authenticated Users entry allows Read & Execute on This Folder,subfolders and files.
Click OK and then Apply.
Reboot the machine and all should be OK.

Hi Guys,
I have an ASP.Net code below. How can I get the value of "OrderID" field?
Dim strConnString As String = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("MyConnectionString").ConnectionString
Dim sqlConn As New Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection(strConnString)
Dim cmd As New Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand
Dim da As Data.SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter
Dim ds As New Data.DataSet
cmd.CommandText = "Select Top 1 OrderID, OrderTracking From tblOrders " _
& "Where OrderTracking = '" & Trim(CType(sender, DropDownList).SelectedItem.Text) & "' "
cmd.CommandType = Data.CommandType.Text
cmd.Connection = sqlConn
da = New Data.SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter(cmd)
da.Fill(ds)
If ds.Tables.Item(0).Rows.Count > 0 Then
txtOrderID.Text = ds.Tables.Item(0).Columns(0).ToString
End If
da.Dispose()
ds.Dispose()

Nothing Fancy, SQL Server database Visual Studio, Visual basic.net in a web app that collects data from the SQL database and lists it on the screen in a listbox.
Dim dt As New DataTable ' ready to process
sqlStatement = "Select PROCESS_START_TIME from MyTable"
Dim cn As New SqlConnection(sqlConnString)
cn.Open()
Dim cmd As New SqlCommand(sqlStatement, cn)
Dim dr As SqlDataReader = cmd4.ExecuteReader
Do While dr.Read()
MyDataRow = dt.NewRow()
MyDataRow(0) = dr(0) ' this is a date wanted in military format
(Military format being not 1:00 PM, but 13:00 format)

Oh, that is the international standard for formatting date and time, ISO 8601.
Use .ToString("HH:mm") to format the time.

That depends entirely on what platform you are using.
What exactly is "military format"? Where I live, the military doesn't have any special time format.

That was long time ago. As I can recall, You have to use a direct path and not relative!

Create an icon for your site. Name it faviocn.ico and put it in the root of your website. The browers will see it there and display it.
Hope that helps.
