with dotnet framework 2 , it will always ask for that print dialog. it was possible with framework 1.1.

Fortunately I'm still in a 1.1 world! How do I get around the print dialog?

So... it might be possible to run a web browser instance on the server, insert the HTML I want to print, and tack the javascript on the end? That's kind of intriguing, I'm going to take a look at that. I suspect some of the posts further down that page mean that I'm not likely to get very far, since MS seem to have locked that functionality down in XP, but... the server in question is running 2000... Hmmm...
Thanks, I'll look into this and see how far I get.

Hey
I have a GridView with an ImageField, inside this image field I would like to display a scaled down version of an image (to fit the dimensions of the ImageField) - and show the full sized one if the user chooses to.
I was just wondering is it possible to do this and if so can any one give some hints or will there need to be 2 images one full size and one that is the correct dimensions for the ImageField?
Thanks
Dan

hi,
Are U trying to do both of the things(scaled and full size image), in the same image control inside the gridview.

No - sorry for not being clear.
One page has a gridview with a list of companies and a scaled down image (in an imagefield) - selecting one of the companies will take the user to that companies area (different web page) where the fullsize image will be displayed.
Basically on the company's area there will be a 200 x 600 banner but on the gridview I only want to show this image as a 50 x 150 image (kind of like a teaser image)
Thanks

hi Dan,
You can specify height and width for image control inside the gridview.
So all images inside the gridview have same size.
If didnot specify the height and width it will take actual image size.
Dan Is this u are expecting?????

I have used a style sheet to set the itemstyle's height and width but it didnt work - I have also tried setting it in the actual mark up but all that happens is that the cell stretches to fit the images full size rather than the image shrinks to fit the cell.
Is is just a case of having 2 different sized images or is it possible to force the image to fit the cells dimensions?
Thanks for your help

hi,
The better way is to use template field and add an image comtrol insidethat.
So we can take it as normal controls and we can specify all the possible attributes like height, width etc...
Sorry, If u are interested try it...

Do you want the image uploaded to server and displayed then or displayed immediately at client-side?

In order to display it, it needs to be uploaded, then sent back down to an img tag.

you have to use template columns to achieve this.
a simple example is shown below.
for more information search for 'template columns' in msdn or just google it.
<asp:DataGrid id="DataGrid1" style="Z-INDEX: 106; LEFT: 160px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 320px" runat="server">
<Columns>
<asp:TemplateColumn>
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:CheckBox id="CheckBox1" runat="server"></asp:CheckBox>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateColumn>
</Columns>
</asp:DataGrid>

hi,
1. add a check box as template field
Follow the reply of 1119
2. In the delete button handler you can use following code
<br />
Dim i As Integer<br />
For i = 0 To GridView1.Rows.Count - 1<br />
Dim chk As CheckBox = GridView1.Rows(i).Cells(0).Controls(1)<br />
MsgBox(chk.Checked.ToString())<br />
Next<br />
This will display the check box states in each row..
Just an example.You can follow this method..

Hi,

I opened one setup project and added our third party dlls and crystareport dlls finally builded the application..
Setup was created, I installed it in my system everything is working fine...
when I installed it in client machine(having .Net Framework) it is raising configuration error saying that "could not load assembly(crystal assemblies)........"
How to solve it...

while creating the deploymet package u have to add those dlls in applications bin directory not in the MSI. And All the dependent dlls has to be added in applications bin. Then the MSI or website will work fine.
|
|
|
|
|
First u add the DLLs in bin comiple the project then u create the deployment pakage either MSI or using MSBuild
