Response.Write("window.open('mypage.aspx')")<br />
Response.Write("</script>")

Hi, I've got a bit of niggling problem...
- I've got two multi-select listboxes
- I want to loop listbox1, and for every item in listbox1 that is selected (by the user), loop listbox2 and find which items are also selected
So:
Listbox1
---
Item1
Item2
Item3
Listbox 2
---
ItemA
ItemB
ItemC
So my end result should be:
Item1
ItemA
ItemB
ItemC
Item2
ItemA
ItemB
ItemC
Item3
ItemA
ItemB
ItemC
However, I can't loop the listboxes.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

for(int i=0;i<n1;i++)
{
if(item "i" of list1 is selected)
{
for(int j=0;j<n2;j++)
{
if(item "j" of list2 is selected)
{
do whatever here
}
}
}
}
n1->No. of items in listbox1.
n2->No. of items in listbox2.
Hope that helps you...

Hi Friends,
I am developing a website in asp.net. I have seperate textboxes for email and password in the table which is being defined in "asp:Login" control of c# Visual Studio 2005. Now I want to put "Remember my Password" checkbox in that table just below of text boxes. When user select that checkbox, it should remind the password and automatically get login next time.
Please remember I can't use any built-in control, I definitely need separate checkbox for that.
It is just same as you have here in this website (www.codeproject.com)
Thanks and Regards,
Abubakar

You can store it on the user machine, in a cookie.

Ya, I can store it on user machine in a cookie but I really don't understand how will I get value from the cookie and login to website automatically when user will come next time? Can you send me some code snipset for that? It will be really helpful for me.

I have a textbox which represent date, but sometime it will be empty.I want to send it as empty to the database. How can I do it
|
|
|
|
|
If the string is empty, pass DBNull.Value and make the column nullable in the DB.
Use DateTime.TryParse to make sure the string you're passed in is a valid date. The other option is to store it as a string, but of course you can't do anything with it, then.

Another option would be to store a default date which is meaningless but avoids a null value in the DB (something I try to avoid if at all possible).
e.g 01/01/1900

How to make Asynchronous calls B/W two .NET objects

Depends, what sort of objects are you talking about ? If you mean two classes, then just set the call up to happen on another thread.

Speaking as a VB programmer (yay!) ... doesn't seem to me as though your }'s match your {'s... and doesn't a "try...finally" block require a "catch" in the middle...?

Nope. You may wish to clear up resources without catching the exception at this point.

I stand corrected.
Us VB lot can use "on error resume next" - much friendlier! This is much frowned upon by *real* (bow, scrape) programmers, but does have it's advantages...
Sorry, but poking C# programmers is almost as much fun as sticking it to the French!
