If you can't be civil and not shout your response then stop posting here.
The difference is that from the server explorer you are creating the database on the specified SQL Server, from the New Item -> SQL Database option you are creating a mdf file, a local SQL Express database file. It is clearly identified as such by the item's description, "An empty SQL database for local data" and the default name for the item, "Database1.mdf"

Are you getting any values? Did you view the source of the page to see what the html looks like?
Its a very simple example and I did not see anything wrong with it, Try adding a response.write("Testing") via vbscript just under the first body tag and comment out everything else on the form handler (process.asp).

user.collection is the collection of users you would like to send emails to. You should know how you are storing and maintaining this collection.

Hello,
Would you please do me a favour by asnwering this question please...
In my customer Server Control (Composite Control), I have a File Upload component which has an Event handler of Click. within the Click Event Handler, I wanted to save the uploaded file to a given path. I wanted to use MapPath() method but I dont get any reference working for this method. I know it works when we have ASPX page and this mehtod is a member of Page Class. But I could not get any workaround to get the useful path information from the virutal path in the Customer Server Control. Can you please help me.
Regards
Bashiwala.

Hi friends,
Please provide the steps and details to convert asp application to asp.net application.
Thanks in advance,

I'm not sure there are any steps per se' that relate to ASP or ASP.Net as they are completely different.
But, you may want to look at your current site and break it into sections. Look at your data access requirements and build your data layer. When you have a better understanding of how your going to interact with the data layer, you can then move on and build your business objects.

|
|
|
|
1 - take screenshots of the asp app
2 - delete all copies of the asp app
3 - write a new app
Seriously, no migration is possible, they are completely different to each other.

One way would be to format it using the header template.
<code>
<HeaderTemplate>
<table>
<tr>
<th>User</th>
<th>ID</th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><asp : Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text='<% # Eval("UserName", "{0}") % >' /></td>
<td><asp : Label ID="Label2" runat="server" Text='<% # Eval("ID", "{0}") % >' /></td>
</tr>
</table>
</HeaderTemplate> </code>Hope this helps :->

Hi,
I wish to call the JavaScript function from Code behind Page_Load function. That JS function accepts a parameter also. How can I call the JavaScript function? Please let me know.
Page_load()
{
string val="yes";
//ShowTransOptions(val)
}
JavaScript function :
function ShowTransOptions(val)
{
if(val == "Yes")
{
}
else
{
}
}

Jay

Page_Load is a server side event, for the client to properly interact with JS, the page needs to be rendered to the browser, as java script is client-side scripting.
If you want to feed your javascript a variable, there are a few ways to do this, but you should elaborate a bit more on what exactly your trying to do and what you want the end result to be.
One way would be to use the Page.RegsiterScriptBlock method. Another would be to declare a public variable to hold your JS or variable(s) and use the Response.Write method to feed the variables into the javascript.

Set it up as a public variable in your code behind. Then you can access it with the <% %> You just need to make sure you do some sort of Page.Bind so that the <% %> gets translated to your value.
Hope that helps.
