I need to implement drag and drop with some files between a database and the desktop. The problem is that when dragging from the server to the desktop I don't have an actual file to set the data object. I'm looking for something like "delayed rendering" or something else which would allow me to download the file after the user dropped it.

How is a drop down list with 10000 items useful ? You can't speed it up, your overall UI design is broken.

Frankly, if you have 10,000 items in a drop down list, your biggest problem is not that it takes time to populate it, but that you force the user to select anything from it.
"Plz" rethink your user interface.

A new software with a variety of cool features has been introduced recently:
- Supports multiple technologies (currently Zwave, especially Insteon, and X10). HomeZIX enables automation features from different technologies working together to achieve broader functionality for your home automation.
- HomeZIX includes everything to compose, compile and run automation logic in C#, VB, the most powerful and popular programming languages. HomeZIX also makes it simple enough so that you don't have to know all about C#, VB programming. With just a few simple lines of code, you can create very sophisticated control automation.
Everyone can download free here http://www.automationvista.com/Default.aspx
and start your smart macros to automate your home.

I want to create a user control in which a button is there now when I am clicking the button it has to invoke some event which has to be handled by the form which is using this control.
Same task in vb can be achieve easily as follows:
In the user control
public event MyEvent()
...
public sub Button_click(byval Sender as Object...)Handles Button1.click
raiseevent MyEvent
end sub
...
In the Front end
public sub USercontrol_MyEvent() handles USercontrol.MyEvent
...
end sub
In C#, is there any option like this

Of course, see, for instance http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa645739(vs.71).aspx[^].
If the Lord God Almighty had consulted me before embarking upon the Creation, I would have recommended something simpler.

You seem to have a tendency to not RTFM first and asking concrete questions afterwards. This is considered rude, please stop it!
