Sorry, but that won't stop anyone....
If soemthing is private put it on a password protected page. Otherwise, don't worry about it. What is so special about your code that you don't want anyone else to see it? It can help others to learn, to see how other people have done things.

It's still possible to get at the code, all you have to do is view the source. You're serving all this data over http, it's always going to be possible to get it if someone really wants to...

In NHibernate, how do I retrieve the current SQL Database connection string? At the moment I'm using...
ISession session = NHibernateHelper.GetCurrentSession();<br />
string connection = session.Connection.ConnectionString;
Thing is it's returning the connection string with the Password element missing so if my connection string in the web.config is...
<property name="connection.connection_string"><br />
Server=localhost; Initial Catalog=Database; Uid=sa; Pwd=password;<br />
</property>
It ends up returning...
Server=localhost; Initial Catalog=Database; Uid=sa;
...which isn't the correct connection string.

Hi,
A strange issue was encountered in our project!
A user could login to our project once he logs in his userid is stored in a session! Throughout the project we would display his name!
Now let us say one more user logged in the previous session is being overidden!
So it is showing the second user info in the first application
What could be the issue?

What do you mean by the above??

Ok let me give you an example!
Iam UserA and logged in to my application. There is a user control which displays the logged in user's name so UserA should be displayed on all the webpages of the application for this user.
UserB logged in to the application, hence the user control displays UserB throught the webpages.
No the problem is that once UserB logged in this value is being updated for the first user, So if userA is going to a specific page it should show UserA right but it shows UserB the latest logged in user!!!
Hope iam clear!

In that case, I can only assume that you're using some Static/shared varaiable somewhere to store the User Name.

We have not used any static/shared variable, as stated earlier we are using sessions!

Hi,
Is caching enabled in your usercontrol?
Thanks and Regards,

No we just created a user control and assigned values to the control and later registered this control on every page, no caching!

hi,
How do u assign value to the usercontrol?
Thanks and Regards,
Chetan Ranpariya
|

Once a person is logged in we save his userid in a session!
And the label present in the user control is assigned with value in the session!

pls enable Cache application in your project.

I am using below mention code but system hang when ExecuteNonQuery fires.
don't know why and no error comes.
try
{
OpenConnection();
BeginTransaction();
DbCommand lobjCommand;
String lstrSqlCommand = "Pkg_Denoination.Proc_INSERT_PACK_INDENT";
lobjCommand = _db.GetSqlStringCommand(lstrSqlCommand);
lobjCommand.CommandText = lstrSqlCommand;
lobjCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
_db.AddInParameter(lobjCommand, "IN_SERVICE_ORDER_NO", DbType.String, ServiceOrderNo);
_db.AddInParameter(lobjCommand, "IN_ACTPACK_TYPE", DbType.String, ActPackType);
_db.AddInParameter(lobjCommand, "IN_REQUEST_MODE", DbType.String, RequestMode);
_db.AddInParameter(lobjCommand, "IN_APPROVED_BY", DbType.String, ApprovedBY);
_db.AddInParameter(lobjCommand, "IN_USER_UID", DbType.String, UserID);
_db.AddOutParameter(lobjCommand, "OP_ERROR_CODE", DbType.String, 50);
_db.ExecuteNonQuery(lobjCommand);
String lstrErrorCode = Convert.ToString(_db.GetParameterValue(lobjCommand, "OP_ERROR_CODE"));
CommitTransaction();
return lstrErrorCode;
}

{
throw ex;

Hi,
The logic written in your stored procedure may have any issue.
You try to run the procedure in sql query analyzer with dummy data and see if it gets executed successfully.
And to get value of output parameters u need to set the direction of the parameters which u add to the sqlcommand.
param.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
This way you can set directions for parameters and get their values after execution.
int x = (int) cmd.Parameters[parametername].Value;
Value property of sqlparameter is of type object so u need to cast it explicitly to the target type.
I hope this will help u.
Thanks and Regards,

No Actually i am using the OracleClient here. Its a simple sp where i have insert statement if i use ExecuteNonQueryOutParam it works fine but this method return only one output parameter but i need to get two output paramters.
I think i have some problem with Enterprise Library.

Hi,
For which class u execute this method "ExecuteNonQueryOutParam"?
I am asking coz i could not find any method with this name for OracleCommand class.
There are two methods for this class to execute storedprocedures.
1. cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
2. cmd.ExecuteOracleNonQuery()
I think after using this methods you will be able to get the parameter values as we get in the case of SQL server.
Try the way I suggested and let me know if it doesnt work.
and did u tried to execute your SP in query analyzer?
What's the response there?
Thanks and Regards,
Chetan Ranpariya

Do you have any loops in your SP? Check your connection and try running the SP from Query Editor to check if it returns quickly.
(Or)
Set the Connection Timeout property. Maybe the server was too busy and has queued your connection request.
