string.Format("{0:F2}", number); should do the trick, you can also use the {0:F2} inside an Eval statement in your aspx.

Decimal dNum = "1.12545"<br />
String sResult = dNum.ToString("0.00")

Hi, I'm looking into web parts for creating a portal site used by support agents.
I'm very impressed with the functionalities but one thing keeps me wondering without finding a solution yet. I kindda hope someone can help me here.
I know that the personalization is done on user-basis. But I want that only a few persons (admin role) can edit the parts, add parts etc... and other (logged in) users see those changes. Just a standard site based on roles and permissions.
I've heard there are two ways for personalization, user based and shared. Anyone has more information about this, maybe links to documentation?
I can't imagine it is not possible at all
Thanks

Hi developers
I need to develop/integrate a simple Email System for Customer's Account Area. From where Customers can check his Inbox, Drafts, Sent Messages and other common functionalities provided by email system.
Please let me know from where I can get such system?

Thanks for reply dude
But I need to integrate eEmail System with existing Customer's Account Area. Furthermore from that system customer is allowed only to send emails to Customerservice@domain.com.
Thanks for your time

Alhough I have not done this, I believe MS Outlook could still be your answer. I am pretty sure you could amend Outlook so that when sending an email, you can disable the To, CC, and BCC textboxes and insert a default email address. Then you have the full functionality of Outlook.
Alternatively, have a look at ComponentSource.com and buy a POP3/SMTP mail component. The sending emails is simple, but recieving and decoding is somewhat more tricky to the point I decided not to reinvent the wheel.

Hi,
You can make this by following way.
string[] str = System.IO.Directory.GetDirectories( youdirectorypath );
ArrayList arrlst = new ArrayList( str );
I hope this will help you.

Always use the client side validation it will save the additional round trip to server in general also is depend on your need.
I hope this will help you

If you are talking about the Validation control available with .NET 2.0 framework. Then,
Server Side Validation Control also uses the same JavaScript only for validation.
Additionally you have better properties as well as less time consuming...
I prefer Server Side Validation Controls.

What exactly will that do? Stop the user from right clicking? ONLY if they have javascript enabled, AND it won't be fired when they hit the file menu!, not to mention how bad practice it is!!! The amount of rubbish that gets suggested here is unbelievable.....

So suggest something better.

Yes, sorry. I was working top to bottom and replied before getting to your next post.

You can't, you have absolutely no control over the browser, any javascript/applet/activex solution can always be worked around if someone really wants to do it. There is no point in trying to control what the user does with your site, its impossible, just let them get on with it.
I should note (in case you didn't understand this) that they can only get the HTML page and resources, not the aspx or code behind.

Can u suggest any other way to stop the visitor from saving and printing the contents from my application
|
|
|
|
|
If its a web application you can't, full stop, end of story.
|
|
|
|
|
Please don't.
Many many people post similar - the usual is "how can I disable the right-click menu". The problem is, all it achieves is narking off your user - changing expected functionality is never a good idea.
Also, without sounding rude, a very wise man once said "what makes you think that anyone is going to be interested in your content that much anyway"
Additionally, even if you do manage to disable it, there are a ridiculous number of methods to still get access to what you've done!
