Make sure you handle the event PageIndexChanged for datagrid.
Set
DataGrid.CurrentPageIndex = e.NewPageIndex;
Hope this works

Hi,
I have done this thing by following way and it works fine for me.
I Page_Load i have writen the following to bind my datagrid for the fist time.
if(!isPostBack)
{
dgSearchResult.CurrentPageIndex = 1; // This will show 2nd page initially as u wanted to.
dgSearchResult.DataSource = dst.Tables["Products"];
dgSearchResult.DataBind();
}
and in PageIndexChanged event of datagrid I have written the following code.
dgSearchResult.CurrentPageIndex = e.NewPageIndex;
dgSearchResult.DataSource = dst.Tables["Products"];
dgSearchResult.DataBind();
I hope this will help you.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
I haven't tried this, but I feel setting the "datagrid.pageindex" value should help you.

For such a specialised question you may find it easier to get a response from Infragistics support or from their forums (which they probably have).

You cant!
Why on earth would you want a browser try to read or edit web.config. You're basically trying to gift your server to all wannabe hackers.
Javascript runs on the client browser. And the browser cannot access the config files.

Hi,
I have done it before for reading from config file the connection string:
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:ConnectionString %>"
ProviderName="<%$ ConnectionStrings:ConnectionString.ProviderName %>"
Here in Provider name, it reads from web.config file..
It works fine..
i only want to know how to get appsettings value in similar way,,,could you help me out here?

sorry..actually in web.config's appsettings i have a format for date. so in javascript function i need to check if date is valid using that format...could you tell me how to do it plz....me new to asp.net...
thanks

Retrieve it like '<%$ AppSettings : Key %>'. Note however that you phrased the original question wrong and this has nothing to do with javascript at all.

ok thanks...but in a javascript function, i want to check if date entered in textbox is valid according to the format i get from appsettings..
how is this to be done..?

I suggest you store the info in a hidden field, so it can be accessed on the client side, like this:
<input id="dateformat" runat="server" type="hidden" value='<%$ AppSettings : Key %>' /> Then use its value to compare it with the one entered in the textbox. Obviously you don't check for equality, but construct a pattern (very likely a regexp) and see if it matches the entered value. Something like:
var dateformat = document.getElementById('dateformat').value;
var pattern = BuildPattern(dateformat);
if (!pattern.test(document.getElementById('textboxfordateid').value))
alert('Invalid format!');

hi good morning every body...
i have a problem in adding Reference to asp.net 2005. i am trying to add dlls reference to asp.net application. but they r not adding to the reference list of the application. so i am not able to imports that. it is working in vb.net 2005 and vs 2003.
the other thing is i tried the application coded in other system, copied to my system. in that also all referenced dlls are not showing.
is the problem in my system?
is there any settings in VS ( of my system ) to be modified to solve my problem.
eagerly waiting for your solutions.

Seems like you are missing the file path.
make sure you are pointing to the exact location.
Success.

i tried with number of applications on my system. but in all same result. when i tried on my colleague's system its adding.
so i think this problem is in my system's settings or other...
i also re-installed entire vs-2005 but no use.

Hi Suresh,
What do u mean you want to convert string into xml file.
If you want to save the string as an xml file: Just open a new filestream. write this string to it and save it as any file with .xml extension.
Else, I feel the question needs to be rephrased.
