Have you tried it in different browsers? I wonder if its a client-side error or a server-side error. You might also check to make sure you don't have a reserved name issue.

Hi guys
i am facing a problem , i am sorry if i am ignorant actually i am a bit new to asp.net,
the problem is that i have bounded my datagrid with data source(Data set object),
when there are large number of records the size of the grid is perfect, but when there are limited records in the dataset object for e.g 1 or 2 so then the row height of the data grid gets increased and looks very much odd, i must be missing some thing, but please any help will be highly appreciated,

you can specify height and width for row and column by using grid property
for example if you want to make alternating rows should have static height you can select alternatingitemstyle from the grid propery window there u can specify your styles this is one way.
or your can use style sheet
or if u go to grid propertybuilder you can see the "format" menu there u can specify your styles.
Thanks
Warm Regards

Hi
There is the requirement of autometic software updation process. We need a method where the admin will check for updates with a button in the GUI, and the system will self-extract and install on it's own. We're going to get many customers on our project, and need automated processes for this.
Please give the idea how it is possible both for Window and Web based application. We are using .NET as well as Delphi application.

In the RowDataBound event handler write:
e.Row.Attributes.Add("onclick", script); where 'script' is either some javascript for client-side action or if you implement the IPostBackEventHandler, it can be a postback event reference, for server-side processing.

The GridView's rows are not clickable by default. The only way to change that is to add javascript code for the onclick event to the rows. Even if you want to get the click event on the server because you need a postback to get to the server and you can only achieve is in javascript (at least in this scenario). So for server-side processing tha page needs to implement the IPostBackEventHandler interface add contain two method similiar to these:
protected void GridView1_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
{
e.Row.Attributes.Add("onclick", ClientScript.GetPostBackEventReference(this, e.Row.ClientID));
}
public void RaisePostBackEvent(string eventArgument)
{
}

hi! I'm doing a project that attempts to record a user's voice and send it through a webservice to a server.i would like to try using AJAX to stream the recorded info to the server. is it possible? Are there any documentation/examples on audio streaming in AJAX or any other good sites I should be aware about?
|
|
|
|
|
JavaScript has no access to the filesystem or ability to record audio. You'll need to look at another technology, like Java or Flash.

is there any know that Ajax whether can pass variable to java applets & does Ajax contains recording codes?
if any one know about the answer, please send me a mail. thanks u!

AJAX doesn't 'contain' anything, it doesn't really exist. It's the merging of some asyncronous stuff built into javascript, with XML as the transport. I recommend doing a google and reading up on what AJAX is, but it won't help you here.

Hi there
I have worked extensively with the ASP AJAX toolkit. My problem which I have been unable to solve is with regards to the Accordion control. When the Accordion control loads, its opens the first pane by default. Is there a way to make it load without opening any of the panes?
Thanks for any help in this regard.

I am developing a webserver application in ASP.Net 2 using C#. It places images of various remote controls on the browser screen in an imagebutton, and when the remote is clicked identifies the button clicked in a ImageButton1_Click(object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e) routine.
That works fine, but where I am having trouble is that, depending on the button pressed, I need to pass command strings to an IR Trans device (simulating the remote) from my application without leaving the webpage. The IR Trans device has it's own webserver so what I am trying to do is asynchronously "shell" a text string to that device.
Looking at documentation there are IAysnchronousHandlers that may be part of the solution.
Can anyone suggest the best approach.
Many Thanks

When you print a web page (any web page not
necessarily an ASP.Net page) you will see “Page X of
Y” on the top right hand corner, URL of the page on
the bottom left hand corner, and Printed date on the
bottom right hand corner. How can I change these?
Where can I find and alter the code of these?
Basically I want a logo on the top left hand corner,
printed date on the bottom left hand corner, “Page X
of Y” on the bottom right hand corner, and a
label/text on the bottom center.
insted of doing...
In IE - File, Page Setup - or IE7 drop down the printer menu and select Page Setup there.
can we do it by writing code?
plz help me...
