These may not be straight-forward in JavaScript. You may need to emit a DIV and then locate it in Javascript using document.getElementsByTagName.
You then toggle visibility using style.display = 'none'

When you set a column to Visible = False in your server-side code-behind it means no HTML is emitted for that column, so there is nothing for your javascript to detect (so short answer is no)

ASP.NET has nothing to do with it. If your control can be hosted on a web page, you need to write the HTML to do that, ASP.NET has no COM support.

You can create add-inns for outlook and theres probably an interop library so you can control it from you own program, but these are designed for client-side apps, what possible requirement could you have to do it server-side?

Is your grid view using bound column or templet column or autocolumn??
Give some more information.
Your friend's code seem to me is right one.
Check other gridview property

opps sorry but,
In gridview we can not add any new rows, so your code will not work.
But insted of this you can use datasource property of gridview to display recored

I suggest that you use a DataSource to get the data that is linked by the GridView.
There are several types of DataSources available. SQLDataSource to get data directly form a database, XmlDataSourde to query XML data or ObjectDataSource to get data from custom data objects.
MSDN has some samples of how to use them or just use google to find samples with the key words GridView DataSource

I hav twwo submit buttons each coresponding to one texbox each...
I want that When i write in textbox1 then default button should be Button1 and if i write in TextBox2 then default button should be Button2..
Default means that when i press enter key then The default button is pressed....

it can possible by javascript in keypress event of textbox you can check for enter key and call appropreate button as form submit button
