You want to print the file client-side without opening it? Well, it has to be downloaded first anyway and unless you know of a way to print an Excel file on your desktop, for instance, without opening it your a bit stuck.

Hello ,
I have a problem in crystal report page.I used the asp.net 2.0 and sql 2000 tools.Whenever I tried to run crystal report, the default images on the headaer part on the crystal report are not displayed.And specially the export and print images are not worked. Whenever you clicked on export or print images there was error on the page, and the error was:"object doesen't support this action".Actually when I run this project on local machine there was no error and all the images displayed correctly,but when I upload this project on web server and open pages from website the problem was occured.
Please help me to solve this problem.
Thanks.

i am facing a problem in displaying a picture.
i am using an image control .
for displaying the pic , i am doing the following code using the datareader(in the query string , i am sending an id from the previous page(Query string), on the basis of which , i am refining the particular record).
now the code is
imgPicture.ImageUrl = Server.MapPath("photos\" & dr.Item("filepath").ToString)
image control is tying into the table.
Now my question is , Am I writing the correct code or there is some need of rectification.
There is no problem , when i am running the same code on the server.
problem arises when , i check at the client end.

Server.MapPath probably gives you the physical URL. You need to provide a URL relative to the application root.

It looked like very useful classname and hence I was fighting with my 'Visual Studio 2005' for sometime.

HI all
I am using a data grid in a search page to display the contents from a sql table. Some column names contain underscore which really don't look good on the form. SO i want to change the column names like (Typing_Speed -> Typing speed)
Pl help

I would suggest that you had turned off AutoGenerate for columns in the grid and explicitly specified the columns that need to be displayed and data bound. That way, you can achieve this elegantly.

Thanks for the suggestion sir
I turned off the auto generate column property so its showing nothing when the search button is clicked( the grid is empty).
Can u pl tell me how to explicitly specify the columns that need to be displayed and data bound.

HI,
You can change column header by
dg.Columns[colindex].HeaderText = "colheader";
I hope this will help you.

Suppose I build a website where anonymous users can upload their resumes into my database where they will be stored in a blob. How can I prevent SQL injection in this situation? Any help will be grately appreciated, thank you in advance for your help.

I have already been to the MSDN site, some of the methods shown on the site include avoiding the use of sa account for database, encryption of vital information, and the use of stored procedure instead of dynamic sql. How can I not use a "sa" account for database access if I would like anonymous users to have access to the database. I've used a function that basically deletes all input from the users that have the words drop, select, delete, and symbols such as --, ' to prevent sql injection attacks before. However, it probably won't work if I would like for users to be able to upload resumes which can have anything in them.

Well, I don't see how SQL injection could occur, when your data is treated as a blob. If you were accepting text from a textbox, that would be far more likely.

So if a malicious user uploads a file that was designed to sniff out info about the database then use that info to do damage to the database, he/she won't be able to because the file would be stored in a blob? Is there anyway to test this assumption? I appreciate your input but I just want to be absolutely sure. Thanks again for responding.

It's plainly obvious. An injection attack occurs when you blindly accept text as part of your query, because that query is executed. The data you store as a blob, could be anything, it's stored and not executed.
