Try something like the following:
<br />
Private Sub Button1_Click_1(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click<br />
Dim objRegEx As New System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex("^[\w-\.]+@([\w-]+\.)+[\w-]{2,4}$")<br />
If objRegEx.IsMatch(TextBox1.Text) Then<br />
ErrorProvider1.SetError(sender, "")<br />
Else<br />
ErrorProvider1.SetError(sender, "Email address is not valid")<br />
End If<br />
End Sub<br />
You may have to adjust the regex depending on what you consider a valid email address.

Probably because you didn't install the Crystal Reports runtime when you created your application's installer. Read more here[^].
|
|
|
|
|
How are you deploying your application to the other system? If you are just moving the EXE you are probably missing the Crystal dependency files. Create a Setup project for your app, it will grab all of the needed files and install them on the other system.

My application draws a pie chart using DrawPie.
Here is a sample:
g1.DrawPie(Pen:=myPen, rect:=New Rectangle _
(x:=x + XAdjust, y:=y + yAdjust, Width:=Width, Height:=Height), _
startAngle:=startPos, sweepAngle:=sweep)
I am finding that the resolution is fairly low.
Is there any other method or object I can use to get a really crisp smooth diagonal line on the pie chart?

You always pass failure on the way to success.

Solved it to some extent...
Using the built in anti-aliasing.
It's not perfect but it is good enough for the moment.
So here is the code:
Public b1 As Bitmap
Public g1 As Graphics
b1 = New Bitmap(Width, Height, Panel1.CreateGraphics())
g1 = Graphics.FromImage(b1)
g1.SmoothingMode = Drawing2D.SmoothingMode.AntiAlias

You always pass failure, and a few fools, on the way to success.

All you have to do is read a little documentation[^]. Pay particular attention to the links at the bottom of that page, under "Tasks".

You'll have to use a 3rd party library to open the file for you. All you have to do is Google for "PDF library .NET".

Hi,
I would like too know, from where i will be able to download the Interop.MSXML2.dll. i have to refer that in my project. i have tried the following link, http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/a/7/7a72ca2e-39cc-4600-ab36-bf3fea876a65/msxml3.msi[^]
but after installing that msi i didn't find the required dll in my machine.
pls guide me,
Thanks in advance

There is no place to download it from. Why are you even bothering with Interop'ing an old (very old and buggy) version of MSXML when all of this is already covered by the System.Xml namespace classes in the .NET Framework, which uses MSXML6?

Hi everyone,
I am new to VS 2005, i used to program with VB6. I have a problem with crystal reports in VS 2005, the crystal report viewer can not load any report that i try to connect to. When i create a report under the IDE and try to preview it, it does not show any data but shows days of the week, colours, and report types in the columns that it is supposed to show data. Please assist me with this. My email address is honest.siulapwa@gmail.com
I will greatly appreciate your help in this matter.

i have an array of size 600 .It's type is string
dim str(599) as string
Each item has some value.
Now my question is instead of looping for 599 times to seek the substring.
Is there any function that directly find out the particular substring , without using looping.

|
|
|
|
No

Hi,
You can join that array to string variable and search the particular substring from string variable with substring function
