I look for a memory leakage detector which will show me lines of leakages in my source code just like
"Runtime checker". Unfortunately its not free.

Also, for simple file/line-number info in the debug window (using the debug CRT) for leaks in

Hi all
In my activeX control I have certain texts whose fonts I need to change using CFontDialog.
I cannot change the font using stock font since I need to have different font for different texts.
How can I do this?
This is what i did.
I have a member of CFontHolder m_Font in my control. Then with SetFont and GetFont method am trying to change m_Font. But I dont know how to set a particular font to m_Font object. And then get the font from m_Font and select that to DC so that TextOut will be drawing text with that Font.
Any help would of great help.

Hi all,
I got a big trouble in rotate algorithm in my project.
please see all pictures
As you see my first picture that I copied from my project. Note that, background picture mustn’t effect when I drag mouse, but grid lines have to be effected when I drag mouse around center point, so when I drag mouse, grid lines must go around center point until I stop drag and release mouse.
My trouble is when I drag mouse around center point (yellow triangle) and when angle reach greater than angle 90 (similar picture 2) then I can not reach angle 180 or greater, if I still keep drag mouse till angle 180 then yellow triangle turn back and point to number of about angle 340 (similar picture 3) so when angle greater than angle 90 I have to release mouse then drag mouse again => it’s not good.
Please tell me how to solve this trouble. Thank you so much.
I’m sorry, My English is not good!

Maybe posting the relevant code will help.

Thanks indeed,
I just asked for algorithm, because I want to study algorithm working with rotate image!
I want to learn algorithm that independent with code.
If you know which book can help about algorithms, please give me book's name

Spy++ view messages posted/sent to a control, or from it?
i noticed that there are "S", "P" codes when the messages are logged. Now what i wan to know is these messages are messages originating from that control, OR they are messages being received by that control.
if they are messages sent away, how do i see messages being sent to that control?
if they are messages sent to, how do i see messages being sent away from that control
if they are both, then how do i differentiate then? how to know which is which
how do i know the destination of the messages being sent?
please help a newb

HEre's an example:
<00001> 0001058C S WM_NCHITTEST xPos:510 yPos:756
<00002> 0001058C R WM_NCHITTEST nHittest:HTCLIENT
<00003> 0001058C S WM_SETCURSOR hwnd:0001058C nHittest:HTCLIENT wMouseMsg:WM_MOUSEMOVE
<00004> 00090564 S WM_SETCURSOR hwnd:0001058C nHittest:HTCLIENT wMouseMsg:WM_MOUSEMOVE
<00005> 00090564 R WM_SETCURSOR fHaltProcessing:False
<00006> 0001058C R WM_SETCURSOR fHaltProcessing:False
<00007> 0001058C P WM_MOUSEMOVE fwKeys:0000 xPos:252 yPos:377
On each line:
message #
receiving window handle
S/R/P - S: message sent via SendMessage (i.e. sender will wait until window has processed message), R: message completion (will always be paired with a S), P: message sent via PostMessage. Note in my example there is a nested pair of S/R - 3 and 6 are a start/stop and 4,5 are a nested sent message
decode message type
decoded message parameters
There is no way to tell who sent a P message nor the first of multiple S messages. When you see nested S messages, it is a good bet that the outer S message sent the message to the inner S window.
Spy++ does not track messages created by a window. It only tracks messages received by windows.

Hi, here
If I repeat load library in VC:
HMODULE handle0 = LoadLibrary(TEXT("testdll0.dll"));
HMODULE handle1 = LoadLibrary(TEXT("testdll0.dll"));
My program will load the two copies of the testd110.dll in memory? handle0 should be equal to handle1?
Thanks a lot!
|
|
|
|
|
Only one copy of the DLL will be loaded. handle0 will be equal to handle1 . The FreeLibrary will need to be called twice to unload the DLL as you called LoadLibrary twice.

Hello, everyone. I am totally a fish in VC++, and have some knowledge in C++.
I was writing a UI program for a software which needs to be run on a smart phoe a few days ago, and now, I need to add a button on the "start" interface of the phone so that I can access the software interface by pressing this button, like I can press the "message" button on the "start" interface, then I can access the interface of "new text", "inbox", " sent items" , etc.
I totally have no idea of what to do, pls help me, thank you !

My commercial app sometimes crashes for unkown reason on users' site. It's hard for me to reproduce and debug the bug. So I need some crash report SDK to get enough info when the app crashes. It can be online report immediatly after crash, or just some offline log file which users can email to me as attachment.
Any recommendation?

In my project, I used a control that I get from web and I have modified some of its code. When I build the project in Debug situation it could run correctly. But if I build it in Release situation, when I click the contol, it will throw exception and the programe will be failed.
Have anybody ever meet such kind of situation? Debug is OK, but Release will failed.

some stuff that might help
- try stepping through the codes in debug mode and inspect each values individually to see if they are valid. sometimes u might get a CString or an int holding really strange values/strings that are unexpected
- initialize all declarations

Hi,
I just switched from VC++ 6.0 to VS 05. In my project I used FlexGrid in one of my dialogs. Not surprisingly, VS 05 cannot find it. However, based on all the help files etc. I should be able to load ActiveX Controls via the menu -
Project -> References -> Add New Reference
In the Add New Reference dialog, there should be tabs one of which should be COM.
However, there are no tabs available, only a projects tab which is empty.
How do you add an ActiveX component in VS 05?
Thanks

Programmically simulate clicking on webbrowser2 object
how do i Programmically click on webbrowser2 object?
i tried
<br />
<br />
m_webbrowser.SendMessage(WM_LBUTTONDBLCLK,MK_LBUTTON, (LPARAM)MAKELONG(291, 125) );<br />
<br />
m_webbrowser.SendMessage(WM_LBUTTONDOWN,MK_LBUTTON, (LPARAM)MAKELONG(291, 125) );<br />
but they do not work. is there anyway to simulate clicks on it?
there are some conditions that i must strictly follow
- i do not want my actual mouse cursor to move at all.
- the click must be relative to the control, not to the screen
