Hey Nithil,
Nikhil Bandekar wrote: My test application is deployed by name http://testsoft/login.aspx
My live application which has a public ip is by name http://255.26.235.22/login.aspx
The above code shows that you are using Absolute Path instead of relative path. Eg, You must use Response.Redirect("Login.aspx") where Login.aspx file is located in the same root not Response.Redirect("http://testsoft/login.aspx").
Nikhil Bandekar wrote: Is there any solution related to global.asax file ? If any kindly let me know.
As per knowledge nope... But I have seen some application are frame the URL in Global.asa or Global.asax file. You check both scenario.

What exactly is it that you need help with? Opening the dialog box? Getting the file name from the dialog box? Using the file name in the code that reads the file?

ASP.NET is serverside. However, you have HtmlInputFile to lend you little help.

I have a concern on your reply to the spammer. When I visited his profile, he has signed only for posting spam messages. So I think we can just report spam/abuse and ignore.
When you reply to his message, an email would go to him with your email address also. He might be successful in that way harvesting email addresses for his spam database for further improving his spam venture.

No, he does NOT get my eamil address. He gets a message from CodeProject with my name on it. He never gets to see my email address, or anyone elses for that matter.

It is annoying to have Urgent requests on a forum where people volunteer their time and expertise. If you have an urgent problem, call the help desk.

There seems to be widespread ignorance as to the nature of AJAX. AJAX is basically a way of using features build into the javascript language, the only thing you need is a browser with appropriate js support. ASP.NET has NO AJAX support, none at all. Microsoft has a .NET 2.0 only ( AFAIK ) library which makes it easy to offer AJAX without writing any code, but AJAX itself, is universal.

Don't use a DataReader, use a datatable or dataset to bind to the control. A datareader will remain open only as long as the database connection. In your case it is being closed almost immediately, which is good. However, using a datareader has the potential to remain open longer than it should, thus reducing the capacity of your site.

Don't cross post in multiple forums. It's considered very rude to "spam" the forums and makes it quite difficult for multiple people to collaborate on an answer.
