One possible way would be to investigate the Microsoft.Ink namespace. This would allow you to annotate the images (works with a mouse, not just the pen) and this Ink could be serialised into the database.
An advantage of this is that the original images are kept intact and the storage space is very low.
There are many ways of doing this but as someone familiar with ink applications I would be tempted to do it this way

Throw away the picture boxes. your app is becoming complex enough that you should be drawing the teeth in your paint event. Then you can also draw on top of the teeth, where you need to color code things, etc.
If I get this right, you need to work out sections of a tooth based on discoloration ? Or can you just draw anywhere/the area is known ?

hi
i used my Connection to SQl, on the sever explorer and Drop it on my Form. and it created an Adapter and sqlconnection.and i generated a dataset from my Adapter and bind the Control , from their property window Each. now in my Table i have integer Values and varchar which is string in vb.net. So in my clear i alllowed a User to Navigate through the record in my table, and Add, Edit and Delete. that one is Fine. when they Add , i had to clear my text boxes, that i did. but now here is the Problem.
"when i user Skips a textbox that, it populate a value, that user it not not Enter
e.g in txtExtension it will automatically put "2". sometimes we have properties with no Extension, so we want to leave it blank" .
when i unbind the textboxes, it does not populate. the text box when skipped.
what Should i check in my code
what is wrong with my dataset

Try 'wWWHomePage' or 'url' If you are going to need more properties i would still recommend taking a look at the previous link which lists them all or getting a copy of ADSI Edit which is a useful app for exploring the AD.

Hi all,
Can i create an file like abc.inc and store like the code segnment below.?
<br />
enum Colours<br />
{<br />
Blue, Green, Red<br />
};<br />
or
<br />
Blue<br />
Green<br />
Red<br />
Can you tell me how to include this abc.inc in the codebehind page.ie in default.aspx.cs file.
I know we can include files like this in classic ASP. I want to get the data from the file using a webservice and display in a list control, inside a windows form.
What will be best method to implement this?
what i am trying to do is to create an enumeration for colour indicators
like
enum Colours
{
Blue, Green, Red
};
In the UI i will show the colour values in the List Control.
when i add or edit the enumeration member, that change should reflect in the UI.
This is the scenario.....
waiting for your valuable suggestions
Thanks
Sebastian

if he want to deal with color(add new color or modify the values), storing
the value in xml file and read it agian when needed will be a good
option.

No.
Sebastian T Xavier wrote: I know we can include files like this in classic ASP.
Are you using ASP.NET ? The answer is still no. ASP was and is crap. This is way better. If you want something visible everywhere, put it in a class, and you can get to it anywhere. Or, put it in a base class for your page. This is the same advice I gave you when I answered this question yesterday.
Sebastian T Xavier wrote: enum Colours

.NET has a Colors enum, but it's pretty big, it may not suit you. Either way, your enum is visible everywhere, by default, as all your code is in a project, and can be accessed via the classes that contain them.

Glad to help. The core advice I'd like to give you - when someone used to asp tries to use ASP.NET the same way, the result is bad ASP.NET code. I recommend looking at some sample projects or sources on ASP.NET, so you can get a handle on the ways in which it is totally different to classic ASP.

Hi,
I want to build two vb.net applications running on the same machine.
One application needs to pass data to the other.
How should I go about to implement this?
Thanks,
