It's easily broken as you've seen but most of us are programmers, and most of us love what can be done with HTML in the posts. If a post breaks the forums then usually that person learns and doesn't do it again. If a user breaks the forums on purpose then I can simply force all their posts to have HTML disabled. But there is a small issue. Most of my older articles were submitted with an email address I don't chk anymore. Right now article post notify mails go to the email ID associated with the article. But now articles are associated with CP user-ids.
