i got following error while trying to show crystal report from my web application,in web server
Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly
do have any solution, help ?

the same is working on local machine..
after uploading, when i tries to access crystal report from my site,
it shows that error.. I think ,the following part "(or one of its dependencies) could have been removed" in error description is important.
do you have any idea about dependencies ?

Hello to every One,
i hav created a page in asp.net 1.0 where i use 17'inch monitor screen and when the same project is opened in smaller monitor the every time we have to scroll down the page.
Can anybody tell me what should i do so that different users with different monitor screen can see the page according to their monitor size.

instead of using pixel size in ur web page design,plz use percentage..
eg:
" table width=75% height=80%
like...

In the CSS you would have mentioned abt the Pixels and in that change it to % and check the webpage.

I had alerady post the answser few weeks ago,
just do the following thing to set your screen resolutions on any monitor (either 15/17 inchs)
Firstoff all U should have to pur your all control within table tag means in & second thing U should have to give your width of the control in % (percentage) not in Pixcel(100px)
did u do that ????
if you directly drag and drop the controls on the webform then they may be get disturb after change in resolution....

I have my web app developed in ASP.NET 2.0 and runs on IIS 6.0 and IE 6.0. Is it possible to configure my application to run on IIS 7.0 without making changes in the code itself? IIS 7.0 provides IIS6 Management compatibility component for backbard compatability which i Installed. After that my setup/installer started working and it installed the application on my machine. I am using Windows Vista Business Edition and i have installed everything under IIS except Fax services.
I am stuck with configuring Integrated Windows Secruity in IIS 7.0 for my website. My application doesn't allow anonymous access but uses only windows authentication. I am only able to see three options in the IIS 7.0 Authentication. Anonymous, ASP.NET and Forms. i tried different combinations but my web pages are not opening... either i get HTTP 401.2 or HTTP 401.3 error. It's says unauthorized user or authentication headers are not correct ....
One of microsoft's article mentions that you would be able to see option for Windows Authentication asl well in your IIS Manager but i can't see this option.
Any idea? In short I just want my previous IIS6 application (.NET 2.0) to run on Vista Business.

Hi,
I am using a custom made chart control in my webapplication page (.aspx).
When I drag that control on to the design page I get a messge 'Attempted to read or write protected memory.This is often an indication the other memory is corrupt'
This problem is seen in VS 2005 and not in lower versions.
Please suggest about this.

You should set you Debugger in VS2005:
Tools->Options
Debugging->General
uncheck option "Suppress JIT optimization on module load".
And then Compile your application.
This is Because of that.

I trieed what you mentioned.
But I am unable to drag the custom control from the toolbiox to the designer pane.
This message is poped up when I drag the custom control.This custom control is new one and it is chart control. It doesnot come default with VS2005 or lower versions.
I made this control and added to toolbox.
It woorks fine with lower versions of VS.
pLEASE SUGGEST.

Hello! I have a problem. In my web application I use Ajax components from OboutInc, Oracle DB, and FormsAuthentication with ticket. Where are some buttons that calls asynchronous CallBack and refresh of Update Panels. After clicking on these buttons 17 TIMES!!! Session dies (delete all variables stored in Session object, new SessionID and etc.) What's wrong?

This is just a guess, but I am thinking that the button click is putting something into your session variable. If it is a larger enough object that is getting stored in session, it could be that the session object is running out of memory and is re-claiming the session memory. If you application is already using a lot of memory doing caching etc. I don't know how much memory you have available on your box that you are seeing the session die. Anyway, just a guess.

I would like to display contents of word documents in an Asp.net page using .net 1.1.
I can open the documents and write the contents to a text property of a control, I have 3 questions I was hoping some could answer or possibly give me a pointer to a possible answer regarding word and ASP.Net.
1. Some documents have tables and other formatting, is it possible to display the formatting on a web page?
2. Is there a framework control that would make displaying contents easier?
3. Finally, each time I close my Asp.net application I get a word pop up saying the Normal.dot needs to be saved. This only happens when opening word documents with ASP.Net.
