I agree that the current structure is not logical, but neither is yours. Example: you have C/C++ and MFC both under Native Code, thereby mixing apples & oranges - one is a language, the other is a framework. But whenever you think about MFC, you immediately start thinking about C/C++, so from that perspective, you've got it right.
I'd like to say that we should "do it right" and get better organized, but let's face it - no reorg is going to be perfect, and would end up annoying the hell out of us until we got used to it. So I'm with Michael on this - leave it alone.

More often than not, questions in the current C++/MFC forum are MFC related. For those that want non-framework C/C++ questions answered, their questions would get lost in the MFC flotsam.
It would be a simple matter to add a sub-category under Native code called "Frameworks", and move MFC, WTL and ATL under it.
My whole aim here is to a) reduce the number of items in the drop-down "Message Boards" item, and b) allow questions/comments to be posted in more targeted forums. I would also recommend deleting "Lounge" from the top-level menu because newcomers always seem to make the same posting mistakes. If we categorize the message boards, it might help eliminate the problem, or at least mitigate it a bit.

Then come up with an alternative that doesn't include the mind set known as "leave it alone".

A forum to talk about developing custom controls would be great...instead of filling up the various language forums with the continual custom controls questions.

In Tamil Nadu, last week there was some rumor in a remote village about a 'ghost' knocking at doors and asking water. When someone opened, it used to slap them to death.
Is this also a 'Ghost'?

How is this contextual in any way with Jeffery's post?

Using the Article Submission Wizard, the max size of the description field is about 315 chars. I think this is a bit too short. 400 - 500 chars would allow for more information, especially when you have a series of articles, and you're trying to note the differences between them.

We don't have pop-up ads.
We do have intellitxt ads and if you go to your profile you can choose not to ever see them. No strings attached.

They are popups. But at least you can get rid of them.

The pop up ads are not appearing from CP, they appear from the "free pr0n" search tool which you've installed.

What does the "Messages Since" drop down say? If it doesn't say "All" then that's the reason.

Hi,
Is it possible when a user rate a message or an article then that user must provide some comments that why he/she has rated on that position.

It would be nice, but I suspect that the idiots who 1 vote for the fun of it would just end up putting rubbish in.
