Take another look at what I wrote, and think about how the strings that you wrote as "they type" corresponds to the literal strings I offered as examples. Perhaps you could use a variable?

I remember this exception from when I was creating entries in the event log in an application, is this something which you are doing?
I think specifically its adding items to a new event log (ie not application, security, etc) and you need specific permissions to create this.
If this is not something which your application does then please post back.

thanks for your reply
yes the application is tryin to write to the event log using Microsoft dlls the error is specifically related to the following 3 dlls
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.dll
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Configuration.dll
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Common.dll
from what i understand of the error bein dispayed these are trying to write to the event log but do not have the permissions needed
thanks again

If you search functionality causes a postback (which I think you have) you can use stylesheets to highlight the matches.
for example if a user enters a search string, you can use regular expressions to find matches and replace those matches so that a html tag surrounds the match (searchmatch ).
Doing so client-side will be pretty complicated... not having a solution right now :->

I have created maps in microsoft mappoint 2006 that i want to display on a Sharepoint site. As the maps are already created I don't think I need the SOAP service. I do need the search, pan and zoom control so just displaying the .gif of the map will not cut it. Idon't want to install MP2006 on everyones desktop just to inherit the controls.
Does anyone know how to build the web part to display preexisting maps (ex: Florida.ptm, Texas1.ptm etc.) will the search, zoom and pan controls in the browser window?
I would really appreciate anyones help.
Here is an example on Live Earth

A fine blend of Response.Clear() and then OK should work.

Hi Vasudevan,
Actually, what I only need it how am I going to include the html code inside the asp.net without using the built-in asp.net imagemap control.
Do you think it is possible?

if u are using crystal report
then u can use the export button to export to excel
try using crystal report

I think you have to use crystal report for exporting data to excell sheet. Crystal report is the famous tool that you can easily use to export data to ms excel any time, when you are using asp it is the most effective tool to dealt with.
