Hi
I have a login session which runs out after 30 mins
If the user wants to use it again they will get redirected to a login screen
But i want to be able to send them back to the screen they where on previously
How would i get it to store the page address and get it to redirect back here?
Would it be another session which would send the page address back to the user login?
cheers boyindie

One Way is that you send the url as query string, same as the dot net does.
for ex:
in page Home.aspx, if session expired, redirect it to loginpage as
Response.Redirect("login.aspx?ReturnUrl=Home.aspx");
and after logging in successfull send the user to Home page as
Response.Redirect(Request.params["ReturnUrl"]);
you can set addiotional checks in login page like.
string ReturnUrl = "Default.aspx" ; // the default page if user comes directly to login page.
if(Request.params["ReturnUrl"] != null)
ReturnUrl = Reuest.Params["Returnurl"];
Response.Redirect(ReturnUrl);
you can also use Request.UrlReferrer method.

when i publish my site ,it says Circular reference not allowed,although i fix this problem bt writing 'allowbatch=true' in web.config, but this problem is same when i publish my site, i have tried alot to find where actually the problem is, i.e where actually the controls are circled, is there any programmatic way to get rid of this problem so that i can publish my web. as i have many pages and controls. so having lot of problem finding the reference.

There's no magical workround for circular references. You have to track down the reference and deal with it.

Hi all
Can any tell me how to remove the border of a text box and combo box. My application is in asp.net and i am writing the code in VB.
For example the look should be like this NAME Prakash consider Prakash is in text box but it should look like what i wrote.
I tried like this but didn't work
TxtFname.BorderColor = Color.Transparent
TxtFname.BorderStyle = BorderStyle.None
TxtFname.ReadOnly = True

Find a good service provider. Pay them and get server space and a domain name. Copy your files to the server. Type your domain name in addressbar. !!

I don't believe you can use a windows control in an asp.net application.

If your web user control or web control is in the same solution then it will be displayed automatically in the Toolbox when you switch to design view on a form (default settings in options - this behavior can be turned off in the settings).
Sometimes it needs a clean and rebuild to work correctly however.
