ASP.NET will render Label control to normal HTML span. So you can give a HTML Line break ( <br /> ) to break the line.

The string that is to be displayed, should include Enviroment.NewLine whenever you want a line break in the text.

If you're using ASP.NET, then you need to insert a <br/> tag instead. I can't percieve of how you'd need an example. A label is just a div with text in it, and in HTML, the text just flows until you have a break tag. If you don't know that, you need to buy a book and read it.

Ohhh!I think u did not get my Question.
I am not asking, How to insert a BreakLine Tag.
I am asking, How to SPLIT a Large sentance(a single record from the table) to some lines coming from DataBase before giving it to the Label, so that the record is displayed as a paragraph in the lable not as a sentence.

CSS having a property called wraptext. Try using that. But it is IE specific. Alternatively you can use substring to cut your big sentence and insert line break. This will display like a paragraph.

If ur text contains whitespace char then no need to do anything.It will be automatically taken in new Line.
I thing ur text doesn't contains any whitespace char and thats why this problem arises

hi all
i am developing application asp.net 2.0 and use usercontrol
but i have problem with control checklistbox and DropDownList
my problem i have two usercontrol
the fist usercontrol contain checklistbox controls and in the function Page_Load (usercontrol) i fill data to checklistbox
the second contain DropDownList controls it is null
and in my page defaulf.aspx have function load dynamic controls

internal means visible in the current project. I thought protected internal means visible only to derived classes within the project.

How can we enforce server to open a confirm pop up window just 4 min before
before expiration of session of a user
,if user select "OK" session time shall increment
Like :
Your session is about to expire
do you want to extend?
OK--||---No
If user select "OK" session time shall increment
if user select "NO" session shall expire
NOTE: POP up should open from server not using from with in the window

Doesn't the session time out based on inactivity ? So as soon as the server does something, the session timeout is reset. But, your server cannot send anything to the client, the client has to request it. An obvious way is to have a timeout in the page that brings up a popup, clicking yes does a postback, thus persisting the session.

hi i am rightnow building a chat application using asp.net 2.0and i am having this problem When a user sends a request using chat application to another user how will the server sends the response back to the other client that another user wants to start a chat session or wants to start a private chat or is inviting him to join a different room by opening a server enforced information pop up window

Not much idea, but a wild guess. You need to use XML file for communication. Both users should listen to same XML file frequently. Server can put popup command in this file. If client is getting that popup command from XML file, it should popup a new window. I hope you can expand this idea to a working model

You can't send the client anything, the client has to request it, so you need to either have a page that constantly refreshes itself, or a page that makes constant AJAX calls.
