If some other program launches my MFC application from command line, such as
test.exe /a /b
is there a way to return the Exit Code to the caller?
If the caller launches my MFC application with CreateProcess , then my MFC application should return the Exit Code with ExitProcess , right?
If the caller runs a batch (script) file to launch my application, how do I do to return the Exit Code?
Thanks!

using the %ERRORLEVEL% environment variable for instance ?!
my bad, i uinderstood "how do i get the return code ?".
anyway, have you tried something Maxwell ? i think it should work if you're just using the exitprocess, or the exit() function from the CRT, but all depends what you're doing in your application...

The customer said in the email that they have a master program to invoke my application, but they have not told me how they do to run my application yet.
So I was thinking, if they are running a DOS-box (command prompt) script batch file ... ?
C:\ test.exe /a /b
C:\ _ <--- Show nothing. :->

You can override ExitInstance method of your App class.
For instance, the following override make the application to return 5 :
int CMyApp::ExitInstance()
{
CWinApp::ExitInstance();
return 5;
}
If the Lord God Almighty had consulted me before embarking upon the Creation, I would have recommended something simpler.

Hi all,
Can any one please tell me the code for loading a popup menu on right click on a particular item in a list view.
Thanks.

You can use of NM_RCLICK event and then load your menu.

I have already tried using the NM_RCLICK event. But the menu is not being loaded for some reason.
Please give me a sample code for loadmenu in List view.

Does this imply that you are handling the NM_RCLICK notification? If so, then you should have something like:
BEGIN_MESSAGE_MAP(CMyView, CListView)
ON_NOTIFY_REFLECT(NM_RCLICK, OnRclick)
END_MESSAGE_MAP()
...
void CMyView::OnRclick(LPNMHDR, LRESULT* pResult)
{
CListCtrl &ctrlList = GetListCtrl();
CPoint pt;
CMenu menu,
*pSubMenu;
if (ctrlList.GetNextItem(-1, LVIS_SELECTED) != -1)
{
menu.LoadMenu(IDR_ITEM_MENU);
pSubMenu = menu.GetSubMenu(0);
pt = GetMessagePos();
pSubMenu->TrackPopupMenu(TPM_LEFTALIGN, pt.x, pt.y, this);
}
*pResult = 0;
}

I have used following code in my project
//////
Pen pen((ARGB) Color::Black, 10.0f); <br />
CString sFont(_T("Arial"));
FontFamily ff(sFont.AllocSysString());<br />
StringFormat sf;<br />
<br />
Point p(rect.left,rect.bottom);
GraphicsPath lgp;<br />
lgp.Reset();<br />
lgp.AddString(m_strText.AllocSysString(), m_strText.GetLength(), &ff, FontStyleBold, 300.0F, p, &sf);<br />
g->DrawPath(&pen,&lgp);
/////
The text is dispalyed like bottom to up that means all the characters are at 180 degree angle from left to right.
What I have to do to solve the problem? Please help........
