Damn. Let me try to explain it again. The EventArgs class is a base class. It contains no useful information. It's utility is that events that DO recieve meaningful information ( such as a keypress ) can use the same framework to send event information, because the classes which contain that information, are derived from the EventArgs class.

As I told in my previous post, EvertArgs is base class for events. Why this comes with each event handlers ? If .NET team needs to add some additional functionality for events, they can do this without making changes to all the event handlers which are already in use.

Use Window.Parent with form name and your control name to get that controls object from popup window.

The code you wrote has some spaces in it. Are you getting an error or just not getting the values? Did you debug to check if the Text properties hold some values? where are you placing the code to retrieve the querystring elements? Is it on a postback or on first post?

Try this code
Response.Redirect("WebForm2.aspx? name="+Server.UrlEncode(this.txtname.Text)+" & city="+Server.UrlEncodethis.txtcity.Text));<br />
<br />
<br />
this.txtname1.Text=Server.UrlDecodeRequest.QueryString["name"].ToString());<br />
this.txtcity1.Text=Server.UrlDecode(Request.QueryString["city"].ToString());<br />

But without the spaces.

You don't decode the values from Request.QueryString. that is done automatically. Also, you don't need to use ToString to convert a string from a string to a string.
this.txtname1.Text = Request.QueryString["name"];
this.txtcity1.Text = Request.QueryString["city"];

Dear pathan,
Response.Redirect("querystring1.aspx? name="+Server.UrlEncode(this.txtname.Text)+" & city="+Server.UrlEncode(this.txtcity.Text));
this.txtname1.Text=Server.UrlDecode(Request.QueryString["name"].ToString());
this.txtcity1.Text=Server.UrlDecode(Request.QueryString["city"].ToString());
I tryed the code,but following error is comming."Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

That's because there is no item in the Reqeust.QueryString collection with the key "city". Due to your extra spaces the key is " city".

You have spaces in the url, which should not be there. Also, you need to url-encode the values to be able to handle more than the most simple values.
Response.Redirect("WebForm2.aspx?name=" + Server.UrlEncode(this.txtname.Text) + "&city=" + Server.UrlEncode(this.txtcity.Text));

Using sessions? Do you mean session variables?
What do you mean by "call" the value?

No

That doesn't really matter, HTML does not allow it. You *could* write javascript to deselect items when they are selected, that's about your best bet.

Yes. Using JavaScript. Deselect as it is selected. However, considering the amount of irritation it gives to the user, I would suggest you can clean up the ListBox dynamically and show only allowed entries.

am having the problem when retreving data from database.
i hav a value in database "page'3.aspx". single quotes is there.
i retrieve it and displays it in a datagrid as a link.The link displays like page'3.asp but the problem is when im passing dat value as a querystring it
i snot taking dat singlequote
<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"Art_Nr") %>
|
|
|
|
|
oh ho...
the problem is that,
this code <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"Art_Nr") %>
will act as a c# code and the output of that code will taken as a string so that in a string if we want to add single quotes we should use escape charecter.
i think u got the problem

Server controls can't be shown in the browser in any other way than the controls that they render. In what way do you mean that the server control are "shown"? What controls would they "represent"?

this question is written in asp.net faq
it's answer is
This is because the server control tags were not converted into their respecting HTML element tags by ASP.Net. This happens when ASP.Net is not properly registered with IIS.
.Net framework provides an Administration utility that manages the installation and uninstallation of multiple versions of ASP.NET on a single machine. You can find the file in C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v**\aspnet_regiis.exe
use the command: aspnet_regiis.exe -u ---> to uninstall current asp.net version.
use the command: aspnet_regiis.exe -i ---> to install current asp.net version.
I know the aspnet_regiis , but not getting the question

I can understand that. The question should rather read:
"Why are the code of the server controls visible in the source of the page in the browser, instead of the html elements that they should render?"

Probably because you didn't put runat="server", then the tag will be passed straight through instead of being parsed on the server side.
