Or better yet, you just select what language you want to use and everything is automatically translated.

Its fun to take a simple sentence and run it through babel fish many times; then convert it back to English and see what you get back

From a chat with Martin Marvinski in the Lounge we agreed that an audio feed from CP would be great.
{ yes I actually agreed with Mr Markinski about something )
I realise that MS has its .NET show or whatever but I find it inconvienient, chunky and darn slow. Also it lacks variety. The presenters always saying "You see this menu option here", but that frame was conveniently dropped in the streaming.
Anyone else see a use for a brief weekly radio show, especially the SysAdmins ?
And yes I would be prepared to assist in developing and running it.

Kewl so thatz 3 outta over 40'500 CPians
Things I'd suggest would be interviews with named MSofties
and CPians about happening technology.
Updates of new articles at CP.
Personally what I like about audio coverage is that you can normally have it in the background and do your regular functions thus you are multitasking.
AV dominates your attention and workspace far too much.

Radio!? When there is streaming video..
Btw.
I think all members on CP should get videocameras installed at home
and at work so you can check in on them and see if they are
at least trying to answer the questions.
Or at least are doing something that is relevant to the codeproject
and not something else....as having a real life.

Sounds cool to me.
I suggest streaming some cool programming music so we can get in the zone before and after each broadcast.

Nice option, I think that the leading thread is hard to find in the mass; it should have a blue background.

Davide,
Can you post a screen shot of what you saw? The rest of us don't have that option

Well, if you're using blue hyphen-minuses (that's their real name, believe it or not) to space out your text, non-breaking spaces work just as well.

Oh! I see what you mean. But the reason i'm using '-' is to clearly separate the sig on the email notifications. When displayed as HTML, it's fairly obvious it's a sig, so the hyphens are unnecessary. I suppose i could just make the whole thing blue though, so if this new expanded view becomes popular i might just do that.

This is just an experiment at the moment. I might make a hybrid version for the 'thread view' option to see if that's more useable.

Too bad sub editors don't get that. I think you guys need to file an anti-discriminatory suit.

I would like to see the thread view load the first post of each thread when it originally loads. That way a click on the thread will show the contents of the first post (the same way a click in DHTML view does), and then we could decide if we want to spend the time to download the whole thread. This is especially true for those of us with slow connections, who when we connect find up to a 1000 unread posts in the lounge, and not all the titles are very desciptive of what the thread is about. I just find it a pain to spend the time downloading the entire thread only to find the topic uninteresting, or skipping over what turned out to an interesting thread because the caption seemed uninteresting.
I hope that made sense
