Can anyone tell me how to take user input from an application and insert that into SQL database table. I am very new to asp.net. And had tried the below code:
insert_cmd = string.Format("Insert into CreateTask(@Title,@AssignedTo,@AssignedDate,@EstimatedEfforts,@Priority)");
// Create new parameters for the SqlCommand object and
// initialize them to the input-form field values.
mycmd.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@Title", SqlDbType.NText, 11));
mycmd.Parameters["@Title"].Value = inpTitle;
The new parameters are created for the other fileds same as above.
When I run this program the error displayed as:
"The name 'inpTitle' does not exist in the current context"

To Insert into SQL database try following steps
1 - Include System.Data.SqlClient
2 - Intialize SQLConnection class
3 - Set connection string
4 - Create SQLCommand class. You type queries in this class object
5 - Call SQLCommand ExecuteNonQuery() method.
Go through some books that explains ADO.NET in detail before you start.

Your SQL insert statement does not appear to be correct.
INSERT INTO table(fieldname1,fieldname2,etc) VALUES(value1,value2,etc)
WHERE fieldnameX = valueX;

I don't want to give any fixed value in the insert command. I want the command to take the user input values entered from the UI and store those values in the database.

What does that mean? Are you asking a question or making a statement? Either which way, you need a verb in there somewhere.

My problem is that when I send a mail with Images, Images are not shown to any different user other than those in network.
Please help me how do I do this.
Thanks in advance.

I assume you are referring images in the intranet server right ? User will be reading mail from his mail box, that is on remote server. So it won't get path to your local intranet server. If your intranet server having a static IP then try giving path with specifying that

Thanks for the reply.Is there other method as I cant use this.

Since your server which contains images is in local intranet, I think it is tough to implement. If it is on internet you can refer images.

As I told earlier, I don't find any solution for this. I will suggest you something, but don't know whether it is appropriate.
1 - When sending mail try attaching the images tooo. This won't work for images that you set as background.
2 - Upload images to an online server which is accessible through internet. In your mail refer this address.

CSS obviously formats how your page looks on the screen, which then is how it's going to print, but I'm not sure that you've worded your question well. What exactly is the problem ?
