Hi
Under the user information, my article count shows 3 but i have posted only 2.
When posting the second article, it threw up some error and the article submission failed. Then i tried again to submit the same, it went well. But the article count shows 3 instead of 2.
Who should I report this to fix ?
Thanks

Send an email to submit (at) codeproject.com
Nevertheless this forum itself is monitored closely by CP Team and hence they should have addressed your grievance by this time.

The link titled "Best of open-source in software development" redirects to the Computerworld story "Black screen of darkness to haunt Vista pirates".
Also, the formatting of the News page continues to be suboptimal. See this[^] screenshot.

Anyone else no longer receiving forum reply emails? I've been sans email for about a month, and CG said he's experienced problems too.

You've done the usual? Checked spam lists, whitelisted us...?
We're checking our end too.

Yes, I have no blockage @ my end. I receive non-forum (eg: CP newsletters) and non-CP emails with no problems.

I've had the opposite problem. I get post response emails just fine, but I haven't been getting any newsletters since early July.

Did you meet up with him this week? He was in Toronto for a few days.

Yes, I met him briefly @ CP. Our emails (via forum posts) to each other didn't get read for several hours since we're both not receiving them.

(I posted this earlier in the General Discussions and it was suggested I repost here)
I'm guessing this is a common question, but I couldn't find it in the Help or in a forum search, so I apologize if I'm rehashing old news.
When trying to copy/paste from the code sections of any of the articles, my clipboard remains blank.
In looking at the oncopy.js include, I see it is performing some regex cleanup on the copied selection if it's between pre tags.
However, after all the regex cleanup, it returns false:
window.event.returnValue = false;
which seems to be preventing the text from actually making it to the clipboard.
It looks like it is intended to prevent the copy/paste function from between pre tags, but it seems strange that it would be after all of the regex cleanup.
What am I missing? Is this the intended functionality?
I realize I can download the zip file, but I'm in an environment where zip file downloads are blocked.
Thanks in advance!

Is this at the same time as stuffing a broom up your ass and sweeping the floor?
Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

noooo....not quite.
I was thinking more along the lines of debugging some code and stuff.
But if you think the broomstick would be more effective...

Any luck with this?
I guess my real question is - should we be able to copy/paste from the inline code samples in an article? If not, then there is no problem.
Thanks!

I thought I had replied to this. Apologies.
The script is doing exactly as it should: It finds the text you are about to copy, cleans it, places it on the clipboard and then halts the normal clipboard code (since that would overwrite the cleaned text just placed there). It works fine on all machines I've tested it on so I'm stuck since I can't repeat your issue.

Thanks for checking. Not sure why it isn't working for me.
In case anyone else is having this problem, I did find a work-around. If I go to the printer friendly version, it copies/pastes fine. So adding the qs ?print=true to the URL allows me to copy/paste. I have no idea why that works, but it works.

Internet Explorer also has an option like 'Edit with Notepad', where the source is clipped to Notepad. Did you try copying from NOtepad that opens up. Sometimes if cache is full, even ViewSource gets disabled.

I tried this from home and it works fine. It must have something to do with the IE configuration where I work.

When I click reply, I get a large text area, like the one I am using now for a new post, but the usable area is limited to half the normal size and scrolls, which is not very convenient when you can only see a few lines of your message.
