Ah - you cross posted, that's why I answered this twice.
If you're using the file upload control, then I've never seen that before. Please continue discussion in the correct forum ( ASP.NET ).

make the class below.run the program and add the control to your project.
Public Class MyDataGridView
Inherits DataGridView
Protected Overrides Sub OnKeyDown(ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs)
If e.KeyCode = Keys.Enter Then
Dim j As New System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs(Keys.Tab)
MyBase.OnKeyDown(j)
Else
MyBase.OnKeyDown(e)
End If
End Sub
End Class

Hi,
I have a problem which I cannot resolve for days now and really hope someone can shed light on it.
I am using vb.net and import a function from C that contains a callback. This C function requires that I pass a pointer to a structure in VB.NET. In VBA I get it working by passing the pointer via varptr(MyStructure) but I cannot find a way in VB.NET and I am porting my application to vb.net. I use the example you have provided in the article
Dim gh As GCHandle = GCHandle.Alloc(MyStructure, GCHandleType.Pinned)
Dim p_MyStructure As IntPtr = gh.AddrOfPinnedObject()
But get following message:
‘Object contains non-primitive or non-blittable data’ since mystructure is very complex and contains objects and classes.
Any idea what I could do?
One workaround I found is to copy the structure to another pointer and work with the copy:
Dim p_xcurvevalues As IntPtr = gh.AddrOfPinnedObject()
Marshal.StructureToPtr(xCurveValues, p_xCurveValues, False)
but this makes subsequent programming problematical and i would like to avoid that.
Thanks and regards

We'd have to see the function header for the function you're calling, the Declare statement in VB.NET and the structure definition, including any attributes used.

I think that the db doesn't know how to save the special characters of the turkish language
if the db is located on a server check if that server has the right language packs installed
also check the db settings maybe there is something there about language
If my help was helpfull let me know, if not let me know why.

without changing db settings encoding would probably be the only way to go so I would do some testing with it to see how good it works

Is it possible to programmatically highlight a column in a DataGridView that I have right-clicked on (to display a ContextMenu)?
The column headers have been hidden from the user.

I think you'd better specify why you want this to happen since at the moment it looks like you are writing some sort of virus or code that will harm a computer and nobody here will help you do that

Hi,
I am Using VB.NEt 2003 and MS Access 2003 for my Project. In My Access database there are 7 tables and capacity 400kb. But when i am executeing program the database capacity is increasing significantly. My initial database capacity is 400kb. But After executing 50 times it increased to 4.5 MB. Sometimes after executing 100 times it increased up to 123MB. In my database, only 2 tables are updated while executing the program. When executing the program, 60 and 30 data records are inserted to the above 2 tables. But every inserting time, previous data record sets are deleted.
Please can anybody help me?

The answer is simple - you need to compact the database.
Whenever records are deleted from an Access database the space those records take up is not freed up.
So if you keep adding and deleting records your database will keep growing until you compact it.
The only way to retrieve free space from the database is by compacting it.
You always pass failure on the way to success.

Helo every one'

You will have to write a setup bootstrapper, or Google for ".net setup bootstrap" to use an existing one.
The problem you're going to run into is that you can only have one .MSI based installation running on a machine system-wide. An .MSI installation cannot launch a second .MSI installation and wait for it to complete. Each install must be checked for and launched by an .EXE-based installer.

Define what you mean by "access". What do you want to do with it, whatever "it" is...??

I generated a list of media files in listbox. files are located on the server. first i include the wmp on the form which perform good. but did not play all types of media. need codecs. now i want that when client click on the list box the file should be opened on the client's computer on his default media player whatever he prefered to installed. like vlc, power dvd player etc etc rather than windows media player.
sir i am working on local area network and this part of the project is depends on ftp server.
I will be grateful for your kind support

The files being on an FTP server will pose a bit of a problem. Since you can't add a COM component to your form, since you won't know which plyers are installed, you have to shell launch each file using a command line, just like double-clicking the file in Explorer. The problem is that this approach does not work with FTP files because the command line you have to use will quite possibly launch a clients FTP client instead. The commandline would have to be:
ftp:
In order for this approach to work, you'd have to download the file to the client machine first, then launch the command line for the newly downloaded file. The new commandline that would launch the default player would be something like:
C:\Windows\Temp\content.mpg
The only way the first URI would work is if you could pass the path as a parameter to the media player when you launch it, or if it is added to your form as an object out of the toolbox.
wmplayer ftp:
but, you don't know what players are installed, or what file extensions will successfully play in each player.
It would seem you have a choice to make...

Hi all ,Presently i am working on a task i.e.,i am having a toolstrip , i added textbox,RB,Label,Checkbox, etc , when i select a control on toolstrip,a run time control has to generate and paste on panel ,But i am not able to drag & drop the control to any place on the panel and make a new selection . And the other thing is when i click a new generated textbox ,it has to show the Textbox edges like in vs toolbox and after that i have to set properties for that runtime generated textbox or radiobutton .Actually, it has to work like VS.Net 2005 Toolbox with some controls on it -- this is actual idea
Waiting for help Urgently---

I'm not sure I got the whole question right but for the drag and drop problem look at the property allowdrop.
to set the properties at runtime you'll need to create a properties form where you can do this
also look at user controls it might be easier to create a usercontrol then to use the standerd controls.
If my help was helpfull let me know, if not let me know why.
