The code file should be also there.
If you want keep there pages only then you should deploy this project.

Try with creating new application pool ? By default IIS will be using default pool for all websites. Try creating a new application pool and deploying your APP over there ? Check this[^] to get started.

This is simply unwanted suggestion for the problem since we can browse directly specifying file name.

A WYSIWYG[^](What you see is what you get) for rich content formating.
yadlaprasad wrote: i mean in the database or some any other backend.I am interested in mainatin in Server folder.But how to do this? Also i want to use XML
This depends on how big your article text is. If your article is too big then I prefer to store in in individual ASPX files which are created on the fly. If it is a reasonable size, you can maintain in XML file or database.

There is no efficient way to do this in design time. You can create custom tags. See the following eg
[image name="ImageName" align="left"]
This is a custom image tag. You need to extract the image name from this string ( Regular expressions are good for this ). Then check the image name exist or not in the server. If it doesn't exist, prompt user to upload the image.
yadlaprasad wrote: i mean dynamically that Html page will be created and that article will be stored in this page.all the pages i am maintaning in a folder named "Articles".Ho we can achieve this
Are you using ASP.NET 2.0 or later ? Then I prefer to create ASPX instead of HTML on the fly. Assume you created HTML pages for your articles. Once you are in need of changing the design of that pages, what you will do ? you need to open each page and change the design. This will be a hectic process once you got plenty of pages on server. So an ASPX page can take advantage here. In this you can do the design in user controls (ascx files) or Master pages. So easily design can be changed. This is why I prefered ASPX file that HTML.
To achive what you require, first create a page which will be like how you need the article page. Now open the file when user hits "post article" button. Read the contents, place your article content where you wish in the page. Write that into another ASPX page in the server directory. For these type of files don't use Codebehind file. ASP.NET 2.0 allows you to write Server side code and markup in same file.
Hope this helps.

hi Friends,
I am developing one web application in MS.NET 2005 and using some AJAX with the help of Ajax.dll(download from this site http://ajax.schwarz-interactive.de/csharpsample/default.aspx)
Also I am new to this AJAX wrold.
my doubt is through ajax we can enable or hide panal or assign value to textbox control from c# code.??
<br />
Means I have a code behind function in c# like <br />
<br />
[Ajax.AjaxMethod]<br />
public string ChangeMe()<br />
{<br />
<br />
if (DrpDelMode.SelectedValue == "B")<br />
{<br />
Pnlcounter.Visible = false; <br />
PnlBankDet.Visible = true;<br />
TxtPaymentDetails.text="show bank"<br />
}<br />
else<br />
{<br />
Pnlcounter.Visible = true;<br />
PnlBankDet.Visible = false;<br />
TxtPaymentDetails. text="show Counter"<br />
}<br />
<br />
return "Hai Ajax";<br />
}<br />
<br />
Onchange event of a dropdwon control i can invoke a JS function
<br />
function showpanle()<br />
{<br />
alert('ha1');<br />
showpanel.ChangeMe(callback_Show);<br />
}<br />
<br />
function callback_Show(res)<br />
{<br />
document.getElementById("TxtName").innerText = res.value ;<br />
<br />
}<br />
in this above piece of code alert wrking fine and document.getElementById("TxtPaymentDetails").innerText value is null and assign value to TxtPaymentDetails textbox and panle visiblity settings are also not wroking.
how can i can solve this issue? or is it my Ajax.dll's probelm
if I comment the IF Else section in ChangeMe() function it is working.Means " Hai Ajax" shown in TxtName textbox.
