what was the purpose of using shortcut?

so that when somebody try to access the webpage (intranet application) one don's need to type the ip address , just double click the shortcut and get the page.

while makeing WebSetup we can configure homepage as shorcut at desktop.

presently i am not using the setup project because that leads to deploy the code files , that's y i published the website.so i want shortcut of my published website startup page

set the url of home page to it.

Create one console Application OR class library Project.
Write belove code in Main Methods
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("http://www.MyApp.com");
build It.You will get one .Exe file in BIN folder
Now Open One Setup project.
Add this .Exe file in Application Folder,User's desktop and User's Program Menu and build it . Setup File will be created in Bin Folder.
Now Install it in your pc.
You will get one .exe file in your desktop.
Now You can open your application on clicking of that .exe file.

Hi Friends..
I am having a .Net web appication done in Ajax using Ajax .dll..I use lot of javascript functions for validations.The script works fine in IE but it doesn't work in Mozilla firefox browser..Wat could be the problem...?
Someone help in this regard as early as possible...

The thing might be javascript is broser specific you could have written the code which will work in IE but will not work in others so check where you went wrong and how to do that as far as other browser are concerns

Wat could be the reason..? i use Ajax dll do avoid postbacks..
Is javascript browser specific..?
I didn't focus my application to work only in .IE .By default it works well in IE and not working in Firefox..The script is not at all firing..In fact how to identify where i went wrong..?

hey...
Go to Menu -> Tools -> Error Console in FireFox browser.
there you can find the client side errors and warnings information for your code.

Hi Balaguru,
It clearly says document.getElementById("txtBets") has no properties.
please try to check alert(document.getElementById("txtBets")); if it returns null then check for the Id that you provided, if it returns any object then try to find the properties available for the object type.

hey,
Did you get the element as object? then you shouldn't have got the error 'has not properties'. just try to print the type of the element (alert(xxx.type);).
i don't have the idea of how to print the properties using javascript. but i suggest to randomly try the expected properties of that kind of object.

for the above error i used alert and got an object and by using another alert i got the object type as text.How to proceed further..?

alert(document.getElementById("txtErrormsg").property)
I am getting undefined in my alert..
Note:
Basically i use
document.getElementById("txtErrormsg").value = "Loading.." just to bind the text "loading" to my textbox control..

Is there a way to dynamically change the style sheet of a page but on the client side by javascript.
I know you can do this with javascript but the problem is how to link it with a button in asp.net.

This is a situation where I need to load a group of user controls programmatically at runtime because the number of controls required is unknown at design time.
Basically what needs to happen is the aspx page needs to load the controls needed for a specific selection made in connection with SQL.
In other words:
You have a question in SQL, Question 1 and this question has three options by way of Radio Buttons. If question 1 is asked, the aspx page needs to dynamically create the form with the three radio buttons.
Hope this gives you a better idea of what I need to do. I think I will need to use a repeater in aspx.
