The only information that is sent to the server on a postback is the values in the form fields. The entire page is not sent back to the server, so the server code have no idea that you have added or removed elements in the page.
On a postback, the entire page is created from scratch. If you want the server code to do the same changes as you did in the client script, you have to send some information back to the server that it can use to determine what elements should be on the page.

Then there is simply something wrong with your Javascript code. What does the code look like, and what error message do you get?

Yep, positive. Oracle forms uses ".jsp" pages to display content through web. You can pass any string in JSP (same in ASP.NET and even PHP) through the url.
So basically all you have to do is to redirect the user from the asp page to the jsp using URL parameters as I described in my earlier post.

"the remote server returned an error:(530) Not Logged In"
this is my code:

protected void btnTestLF_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {<br />
Uri ur = new Uri("ftp://ftp.mydomaine.com/");<br />
Downloadlf(ur, "myname", "mypwd");<br />
}<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
private string Downloadlf(Uri serverUri, string name, string pwd) {<br />
<br />
if (serverUri.Scheme != Uri.UriSchemeFtp) {<br />
return string.Empty; <br />
}<br />
WebClient request = new WebClient();<br />
request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(name, pwd, serverUri.AbsoluteUri); <br />
<br />
try {
<br />
byte[] newFileData = request.DownloadData(serverUri.ToString());<br />
<br />
<br />
string fileString = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetString(newFileData);<br />

No wonder. An html element doesn't have any enabled property.
document.getElementById('<%=Textbox1.ClientID%>').disabled = true;

hello,
you could change the css class for the textbox:
document.getElementById(textboxid).className ='thecssclass';
and write the thecssclass with any styles you want.
Hope it helps!

Hi everyone!
We are initializing a big project for my company's website. It's, basically, maps, routes and localizations tools.
Ok! But, first, we need to adopt a good organization for our solution (with multiple layers).
Could anybody, more experienced than me, indicate good references for this subject?
Thanks in advance.

Is there a best practice acceptance criteria for "code acceptance" to signup support contract? For example, I assume the following guidelines -
1) Managed code using VS.NET
2) Should use the latest framework, ez, .NET framework
3) ASP.NET/AJAX for web applications
4) XML standards such as OASIS
5) web protocols such as HTTP, SOAP, REST, etc
Does anyone has some guidelines?
Thanks in advance,
SP
