Then you are asking in the wrong forum. The ASP.NET forum handles ASP.NET applications, not Windows applications. Use the VB forum.

You want the processed HTML of ASPX page to be saved as HTML page right ? Then use WebClient class. This class provides various methods to do this. Use DownloadFile() method and pass the ASPX page which you want to convert. This method will give request to ASPX page specified and downloads the response to the file you specified.
Note : If your ASPX page uses Session's, then this will show error.

Hi Techies,
Could anybody please help me which movie format(dat,mpeg,flv,rm or anything else ) does support the video streaming efficinetly In ASP .net 2.0 and why?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Salil

Streaming movie format has nothing to do with ASP.NET. What you are asking is which format streams efficiently over the web, and that really depends on what you are trying to achieve? Do you want to target RealPlayer over WinAMP, QuickTime over Flash? Decide on what your goals are and then go from there.

Hi this is Nakul
I am new to javascript. I am developing a website in which I want to add flash buttons which I have created in Flash MX 2004.
Initially I just inserted these buttons in the form of object on my webpage. But there was problem activating ActiveX contents at that time, so I inserted these buttons with the help of javascript.
Now the problem is it is working fine in IE but in Mozilla all the buttons disappear.
Code which is being used in the javascript:
<script src="Home.js" type=text/javascript></script>
and In Home.js:
document.write('<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000">');
document.write('<param name="Movie" value="HomeButton.swf">');
document.write('<param name="autoStart" value="-1"></object>');
I am using: ASP.net2002, Framework 1.0 and FlashMX 2004.
Please Help in this regard.

Try adding qutotation marks around the text/javascript value.
Have you opened the Error Console to watch for Javascript error messages in Mozilla?

To simplify things, you can emit JavaScript only for IE (sniffing the browser from HttpBrowserCapabilities) and for other web browsers, just emit plain HTML SWF code. Wouldn't that be more simpler?

I have tried that too, but thats not working.

Hi all,
In the page load event of a site I have few calculations I do and on the result of those calcs I redirect to other pages, the thing is that it is not recognizing Response, am I missing a using or something?

Means ? You are not getting scope for Response ? Are you doing redirect in some class ? Then there you won't get since it is not derived from Page base class.

It is in the page_load event of the page, I would expect to get scope there.

what's the basic diff b/w out and ref in c# as both don't need new storage location

Within the method, you must assign a value to an 'out' but not to a 'ref'. This also implies that an 'out' does not have to be initialised before being passed to the method as the method 'will' change it, whereas a 'ref' isn't guaranteed to be changed so it has to be initialised.

ref is a pointer to an object initialized before passed to e certain method, and an out parameter is initialized within the method being called. But you're right, they're both pointers.

Is this really the right forum for this question.
Sonia - I notice that you spend a lot of time you post questions that could easily be answered from a bit of research in Google, or by buying a book or two. Would this not be a better use of your time?
