Angle of incedence = the angle of reflection.
Thats all you need to know - not sure why you are doing it the way you say though.

Im going thru a very weird problem, maybe im not familiar with it...i tried using controlpaint.drawborder3d for a normal form to create a border for the borderless form, and it worked. I'm trying the same thing for an MDI form but it wont work, is there something im missing? im using version 2005

Without seeing you're painting code (and the sub that it's in), it's impossible to tell you what's going on.

below is the code im using on the MDI form, i used hte same thing for the normal form on which it worked, but on the MDI it doesnt seem to be working
<br />
Private Sub frmMdi_Paint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles Me.Paint<br />
ControlPaint.DrawBorder3D(e.Graphics, Me.DisplayRectangle,Border3DStyle.Raised)<br />
End Sub<br />
|
|
|
|
|
If this is all you're doing, why are you even doing it?? Just set the form's BorderStyle property and it paints itself.

i want a borderless form cos i want to design my own titlebar and stuff...tats not the question...the question is why wont it work?

No.
Anyhow, there can only be one VB.NET 2.0 book in the 'Unleashed' series, that stands to reason.

Who do you think you are comming to a free site where all the help you get is from people who volunteer their time, however little it may be, and start demanding that people answer you??

Go to Amazon.com and type in the search box "visual basic .net unleashed" and find it your bloody self - immediately!

Hi, I need your help please, would you give me some documentation or articles about RDO connection to database with all its functions and properties.
thank you in advance!!
|
|
|
|
|
Why? RDO is so outdated it's silly.
Are you using VB6, or VB.NET?? If VB.NET, you'd be using ADO.NET for database access. The topic is so large, though, that entire books have been written about it. The only thing that is going to give you "all its functions and properties" is going to be the documentation on MSDN.

Hii all ,
I am having a form , in that i generated some dynamic controls, and added some design time controls (picturebox) .On picturebox i added the runtime generated controls ,and i am populating the properties of the runtime controls and desinged controls using windows PropertyGrid . Its all working . Lets COnsider the picture box as page .
1) Now the task is i have to save & get (All the controls in form )Page Properties using an xml file using (dataset ,datatables ) using ADO.Net .If i retrieve it it has to look like the orginal one when i am running the form (same order and size of controls )
2) I am able to give spacing left and top of picturebox. i am not able to set right and bottom .i am using Splitter control1 .How to give space for picturebox ,Right and bottom like the one if we click preview in codeproject (space at edges )and How to resize the picturebox when i move splitter control automatically ).
Any idea ,resources ,...
How to do all these Things
Regards

I told you that you're skills were not up to the task of building a form's designer. Your technique's willl only carry you so far before you run into walls put up by your own design.
Controls are not serializable. Using your thinking, the only way to save a control would be to look at all the properties you need to regenerate the control, like Location, Size, Text (if it has this property), Value (again, IF it has this property), any other properties (and AGAIN, IF they have those properties).
If you're looking at only specific properties of a limited number in a known set of controls, you can write you own code to get a set of properties for each control. This is the monolithic way to do this and will result in a non-flexible design that can't be easily adapted to add new controls. Even using this method, you're going to have a difficult time understanding the code, and there will be a LOT of it.
Remember when I said you'd need to understand code generation?? This is where it applies to your problem. You might want to read this little sample[^] of what I'm talking about. This is what it takes to serialize any given control and be flexible enough to look at all the public properties.
You're second question makes no sense. "Spacing"??? What are you talking about?? There are Top and Left properties that map to the Location property, that sets the position Top Left corner of the control. There are no Right and Bottom properties. There is the Size property that describes how wide (Width) and high (Height) the control is.
As far as the Splitter control, you haven't given any usable information on what you're doing with it, or how it relates to the problem. About the only thing I can come up with is that you're not using the Anchor and/or Dock properties of your Panel properly.

hi all.
i want to know hoe to display playtime....Play time must be starts when i click Accept button and after clicking disconnect button i want to display the elapsed time tooo.......
can any body help me......

There are two possibilities that I can see. You have been given extensive help on this, and it's a trivial task. You continue to ask in this forum, and in forums that are unrelated to your problem.
1 - you are trolling. In this case, get a life
2 - you are completely unsuited to a career in software development. In this case, I recommend you find another job. If you can't follow the simple instructions you've been given, and you think that asking again will change the answer, then you need to rethink either your career choice, or at a minimum, the level at which you're trying to operate. If you can't handle the advice you've been given, you need an extremely simple beginners book, and you need to work through it slowly.

Hi,
After reading the question about "Playtime" I was puzzled about what "Playtime" actually is. So, what is it?
