It's possible that the ip address is non-routable. You may need to work with someone from technical support at your network provider to find out what is going wrong.

Is the Response and Request Cookie Collection the same or do they use two different collections.
If they are different, is the Response Cookie Collection copied over from the Request Cookie Collection when the page is loaded.
I see that with the Response there are to methods one is Add(HttpCookie) the other is Set(HttpCookie). I am setting up a "Keep me logged in for my members" and when they come to the server and don't have an active session I plan to update the cookie they already have with a new expiration date.
I'm just wondering if I should be updating the Response Cookie or adding it to the collection for the response.

Hi all.
I need some example of following thing:
There is a portal for example www.myportal.com, and users can create their own sub-portals by users logins, for example: www.admin.myportal.com, www.user1.myportal.com
or sub-site structure can be like that:
myportal.com/admin, myportal.com/user1
Something like Sharepoint structure...
The problem is that a got a really huge number of users (>10 000) so physically created IIS directories and files will be hard to maintain and I think not the best solution.
I need some kind of description of solution for this arhitecture, maybe creating special HttpHandlers or smth.
Does anybody faces with problem like that?

What do you mean? Do you mean the Inbox of any specific program, and where would you like to insert it?

I have developed an application in asp .net 2.0 using c# with code-behind.
I found that I was unable to use design mode in VS2005 for my pages subordinate to the master page as whenever I switched to design mode I saw only the master page rendered but greyed out - i.e. none of the subordinate page's controls or content were rendered. I therefore had to resort to editing the raw html in every case. Any user controls which I created showed up correctly when viewed in design mode in isolation, though.
There's nothing wrong with the overall design of the application as it generates valid html for Firefox and IE.
Anybody know of an obvious reason for this? I feel it must be something simple.

Hello friends..
I am facing one problem with requiredfieldvalidator .My .aspx page contains top, bottom and left web user controls. The middle part of the page contains some textboxes and requiredfield validator associated with them. Left control displays some menus. I use link button to display links on the left control. Now, whenever i click on the link buttons the requiredfiledvalidator displays error because the textbox is empty.The important fact is that both linkbuttons and requiredfieldvalidator lies on same page. How to avoid this?

Set the CausesValidation Property of the LinkButton to false.

I am getting the following error when am adding a table in my page.
Validation(XHTML 1.0 Transitional): Attribute 'height' is not a valid attribute of element 'table'
Validation(XHTML 1.0 Transitional): Attribute 'width' is not a valid attribute of element 'tr'
Validation(XHTML 1.0 Transitional): Attribute 'height' is not a valid attribute of element 'tr'
My Code as follows.
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="AdminLogin.aspx.cs" Inherits="Admin_AdminLogin" %>
<%----%>
<title>Test
I commended the second line eventhough still getting these errors.

Is this actually preventing you from compiling the site? These are XHTML validation errors that simply mean that the XHTML 1.0 Transitional specification doesn't recognize those attributes as valid for that element. It shouldn't prevent you from being able to compile and run the site.

I have one gridview control with two hidden fields and one dropdownlist.
AutoPostback property of dropdownlist is true.
You can use Item template for inserting a dropdownlist in the datagrid .
<Columns>
<asp:TemplateColumn HeaderText="Action">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:DropDownList id="DDAction" runat="server" Visible="False" OnSelectedIndexChanged="DropDown_SelectedIndexChanged"
AutoPostBack="True"></asp:DropDownList>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateColumn>
</Columns>
Now , when selected_index_changed event of dropdownlist fire, that time i want to
know that at which row index dropdownlist is.
Now in the code behind write the following code.
protected void DropDown_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
DropDownList list = (DropDownList)sender;
if(list.SelectedItem.Text==".......";
.....
//To get the corresponding row
TableCell cell = list.Parent as TableCell;// getting the parent cell of dropdown
DataGridItem item = cell.Parent as DataGridItem;//getting the parent of tablecell ie the row
string p_key=item.Cells[2].Text.Trim();//getting the column values of the row
........
Tickle your brain and the ideas are out

begin
insert into mytable values (@myvalue)
end
something like that.
I also googled ( do you ever do this ? ) and this was the first hit:

Impossible, without knowing the structure of your database. Presumably it would take the selected item from the first list and pass it into a database call to get the relevant second list.
The book 'AJAX in Action' has an excellent sample which can be used to do this with AJAX. It's a prime candidate IMO for a place where AJAX adds a lot of value.
